#1 in Nation for HS Football! Trinity HS, Euless TX
#1 in Nation! Trinity HS, Euless TX 10-0
Trinity used ball control offense and a late touchdown drive to seal their 11th straight win over Hurst L.D. Bell on Friday night. The Trojans sophomore running back Tevin Williams ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the 30-20 win. Euless is located about 15 minutes away from us. Yay Trogans!

How can a team be ranked "#1 in the nation" if that team does not play any other teams in any other part of the 'nation'?
Oh... it's high school football.... so it doesn't matter anyways.

We are ranked #2 in the state of Ohio. 12-0 going into the regional finals this weekend! Go Patriots! We won state in '05.... We typically rack up 40 points by half time and play JV the second half.

What Texas High School did the Rogers brothers play for? "Quiz" Rogers leads the PAC 10 in rushing yardage...as a true freshman!
How did the Beavers get him? No major school offered his older brother James a scholarship. Quiz wanted to play with his older brother...

One thing's for sure, Texas produces a lot of damn good football players. During the great years of KSU, I swear 1/2 of the team was from Texas. Bill Snyder always did well recruiting down south.

He will go to Marcus HS - they play Trinity this weekend at the Texas Stadium. Marcus HS has a good team as well but not like Trinity. If Marcus can stay within 1 TD it will be considered an acomplishment.

Actually, many out of State High Schools came to Texas this year to play many of our teams for exhibition in early season play. Some of the best HS Programs from Calif and Florida came and played in front of large crowds in Texas Stadium. Quite a thrill for the kids I would think.
I've heard that perenial power house Southlake Carroll has waiting lists for tickets to their games, Season Tickets carry hefty price tags. They take their football Serious around here. :-) Article to whit... Comments | Recommended RSS Yahoo! Buzz AddThis Social Bookmarking Fans line up for Southlake Carroll tickets 03:11 AM CDT on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 By JIM DOUGLAS / WFAA-TV SOUTHLAKE – By the time the birds awoke, the Dragons fans had been up for hours. ERICH SCHLEGEL/DMN Some of those in line had kids in pre-school. "We got out here around 12:30 a.m.," said one fan. They camped out in a storm hoping for a chance to spend a small fortune on seaon tickets for high school football. "There's only four home games this year. So you're paying $600 for four games." Actually it's a little more than that. But this is Southlake Carroll - three-time national champs, state champs four out of five years. You want season tickets, roll up your sleeves. Demand is so high, they will pay $90 just for a license, a permit giving them the right to buy tickets for the next three years. They can renew the license forever, but if they forget, then they are forced to buy another one. "I came back on the day after, hoping for a little grace, but there was none. So I'm back in line," said a fan. Many of these fans are trying to get season tickets now because they're afraid they won't be able to get them when their kids finally get to high school. "My son's only going to be in seventh grade," said one. "I have one that's in second grade," said another. The kids of one fan are in pre-school. The door is just about to open, but the sad fact is, if you want season tickets to Soutlake Carroll it's almost like someone has to move away or die. There are only 92 available this season. Most of these people won't get one. Tickets finally went on sale at 8 a.m., and out came the checkbooks. Paying $660 for high school football may seem steep, but some say it's about a lot more than that. "It's about community and supporting the kids. Small town at its best," said a fan.

Big time HS play one another out of state quite often, that's why they are natinally ranked. They have to go out of state and into higher classifications to find worthy opponents.
California's Del LeSalle (sp?) Louisiana's John Curtis Alabama's Hoover Are some examples of those type of schools. The USA Today has had National HS rankings for quite some time.

The high schools around here get between 10 to 15K attending on any given game - for big games, they play at Texas stadium. The HS fields rival many small college stadiums. It is bigtime here.
I had a few middle school coaches ask about our son - 9 yrs old, almost 5ft and weighs 118lbs. Our boy wants QB but I would settle of offensive line. We don't push but he has this love for it that just won't shake. He plays Flag now but really wants to go pads next year. We will see how his grades are. He loves to throw and run and hit. If only he had that sort of interest in school...
