Sell the Volvo. It is the older car and has (statistically) more issues that the Honda. You can look this up on consumer reports. The Volvo also loses its value faster. The Volvo is front wheel drive. The Volvo does not save you significant amounts of gas over the Pilot.

The Volvo is NOT the safer car. We have a 2005 Pilot EXL, like yours. It has a 5 star crash rating, which is why we bought it. The thing is pertty fast, looks great in and out plus gets 19 mpg. I've owned several Hondas and I think it'll outlast your Ford, I mean Volvo.

Sell the Volvo. The Honda has far better resale value, is more reliable, and will last longer. Plus you have the extra ability to haul more stuff/kids if necessary.

I agree. Volvo's have somehow gotten more of a reputation than they should have for reliability. One of my best friends is the service manager at a dealership. He loves them but realistic about their reliability and parts cost. Honda's are generally way more reliable and cheaper to service.

My wife just got rid of her pilot last week in favor of a nissan morano, but the pilot wasn't a bad vehicle. It had almost 110k on it.
I'd keep it over a vulva. The pilot is not exactly a masculine car but you don't have to turn in your man card when you get in ;)

Volvo's are expensive...RR and Volvo used the same oxygen sensor. Volvo charged more for it.

the volvo is getting to the point where it's gonna take you to the cleaners, regularly. they're famous for it. and parts ain't cheap for them. japanese cars have a reputation for going on virtually forever with very minimal upkeep.

I agree. The Volvo will fall into what I call the "10 year mark" soon and the repair bills will be too much to consider keeping and then it will be worth much less. Hondas on the other hand last so much longer with less upkeep. IMHO.

My 1993 Honda accord made it to 230,000 miles. I sold it because I wanted a new car. Car was still going strong.

Keep the Volvo!
