Carbrella?
Not sure if this should be OT...
Just got my Carbrella in the mail - $75 on fleabay. Questions for users: 1) Do you use it at home or out in public? 2) Ever had one stolen? 3) Ever have one come loose where it would blow away? It certainly seems handy - and I won't have to fold up my top so much. TIA David Photos for those who think I'm crazy... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1227207341.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1227207361.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1227207384.jpg Suction cups http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1227207398.jpg |

David,
Check with Art (azasadny). I believe he has one that he uses on his Helga. :) Randy |
Is it for sun? Cant imagine it would be very good at keeping rain out.

I think it is for sun and dirt, etc. Rain = Targa Top.

Yep, I've got a Carbrella and paid $150 for it new and have used it for about 4 years. It uses suction cups to hold it in place and it's only come off with heavy winds a few times. I've used black fabric paint on it to bring it back to black after the sun faded it, but it's been reliable and served the purpose I bought it for. During heavy downpours, it will keep the interior dry. I also use it to prevent birds from messing up the interior. Great product, although $150 was steep for it, you definitely got a better deal than I did!

Yes. 2) Ever had one stolen? No. 3) Ever have one come loose where it would blow away? Yes. Mine blew off outside a restaurant one time- kinda embarrasing... FWIW, I use mine a lot- but I wish it would stay on better. Plus I don't like the marks the suction cups leave on the windows... |
