That does suck - but there's also way more than $3k worth of parts left on that thing... If I had more garage space and free time I'd pick it up to part & make some cash.

Way too busy and short of space though. Plus if I move in the next couple months I don't need to be dragging more parts cars along with me. ;)

Too bad, but it will make a great parts car. Are those sport seats under the covers?

Shaun @ Tru6 11-25-2008 09:10 AM

that's a $3K car.

i scrapped a non running, but undamaged 3.2C with PeterFrans and got about 10K euros out of it..
That being said, that was 06, now it's 09... i notice that parts are not being bid on as feverishly as then...

The 3.2 was in pretty good condition, it had been stored on an impound lot for 9 years and it was not salvageable due to vin tags cut out by the authorities....And non running because the FI was buggered from the 9 years

This one, with fire damage, will have a number of parts written off, the fuel injection for one thing, secondly, the engine parts are a question mark.. they could be worn out completely whereas the 3.2 was pretty cherry in parts, impound lot = no wear on the parts...
The chassis is useless, no real racer roadmap for a targa...

So this one... i guess it could fetch 6-7 K in parts, if your lucky... or just 3K if you're not
I don't think it's a bargain if the bidding goes up much more from what it is now...

The engine may still be OK. A little rebuild, and hop, $4500. The car, I would clean up and prime as a nice roller, $4,000.
That is, if I had the space and the time...

He claims the wheels are 7's and 8's, but in the pictures they are clearly 6's and 7's.

It's near me, but I'll pass. A good reminder to carry a fully charged extinguisher.

My 1973 coupe looked somewhat similar the day I bought it from the auction.

It was the perfect candidate to drop the whimpy 2.4, and install the 3.2 that's in there now. no regrets!

Always replace your fuel lines!
