Travel agents here?
Or married/related to one?
I'm sending my son and daughter in law to Kauai in July for their honeymoon. Best round trip price i've found is 1200 usd. Anybody know if this good or not? TIA |
If your son & DIL will be leaving from NWNJ or any of the greater NY airports in July, it will be expensive. You are a generous father! You have no wiggle room with weddings, set dates or alternate less expensive destinations. Some of the many web sites have teasers if you "join" their club- www.bestfares.com
The airlines will have holiday sales in Dec. for next year. OR, do you have access to frequent flier miles? Example: BA thru 28 Nov. will let me use one half normal frequent flyer miles. PHX to Warsaw/Krakow Poland for only 35K miles and pay tax and fees. My airfare for '09 cost $430 each RT coach and 35K FF miles (includes planned stopovers in London). GL John_AZ |

POP has a good idea if you are going in 30-90 days. Your credit card company will protect you if the goods/flights are defective for a period of time-see your contract.
For flights in advance------especially now and with many mergers (ie-Delta/Northwest) and bankruptcy you are taking a gamble. How do you explain to your DIL her honeymoon has been changed, rerouted or canceled? Take out travel insurance www.travelguard.com Be sure to check on the site for companies they will not cover. Is that even still a profession ? I thought all travel agents went away with the emergence of online booking !
