Car sounds
 

I'm trying to find some good car sound files, but can seem to find a site with a good collection. Lots of sound effect stuff, like "car tires screeching", "car horn" etc etc, but nothing for car buffs.

I'm looking for stuff like Ford Flathead v8, or Porsche, and Ferrari engine sounds. Also looking for specific car noises like rattly heat shields, worn CV joints... stuff like that.

Dr Google has not helped me at all

Anyone know where I could find something like that?

There was a site I came across a year or 2 ago that had samples of idling and drive-bys of early 911s, in fairly good quality. I'll be damned if I remember where it was, though. Try media searches (google audio search, wav search, stuff like that), or strings like "[sound you want] audio sample wav".

If you've seen the Victory by Design series, they did a great job recording the engine sounds. One of my favorites is the Carrera GT in the introduction, its amazing.

if you have the intraweb on your cell goto this site, upload whatever to your "account", then your cell will download it through the web....you'll need to convert it somehow if it's an mp3
