Indy 500 Seating

So my wife and I are thinking about heading to the Indy 500 this year and are trying to figure out the best section to sit in. I am thinking that a view of turn 1 would be our first choice but never having been to the speedway I am unclear as to whether we want to be up high or down low.

I am willing to spend a few $$$ on tickets that are worth it so if you have any first hand experience I'd appreciate it.

We had seats for a long time coming out of turn 4, just before the pit entrance. I loved them because you could see the cars come out of turn 3, then through 4, then down the whole straight until Turn 1. We were also directly across from a video screen.

We were in turn 1 when they had the F1 race at indy and our seats were very low. I like sitting up higher better because if you get too low you can't always see the cars because they get blocked out by the wall.

My buddies and I are going down this year I hope, but we will stick with infield passes because we are too cheap a minimum of $80 for a seat.

We had seats this year, just after turn 4. Great seats. Here's a vid I just uploaded...

Carb day is always fun too...I kind of like it more than the race, itself.

Our old seats are very close to where yours were.

I like upper turn 3 seats. You can see turn 2 outcome, all the backstraight, turn 3 where all the action happens, and every car going into turn 4. Cars pass often on the backstraight. Try to stay away from inside any turn. Hope you enjoy.

Ive only been once and we sat very close to the start / finish line in the second row, upper deck and it was FANTASTIC. You could see the whole track and over the pit wall so you could watch all the action there too.
