The Egg & I sounds interesting. We usually just meet at the slop house in the Hilton that doubles as a Mexican restaurant at night. The lines are stupid every morning. It would be nice to break out.

Here's what one of my cohorts said about Ferrano's:

"Ferraro's - Oh, my GOD!!! Is that place still open? Went there once in 1988 and the service was so poor and the food was so f***ed up, it was just unbelievable. I figured that place was out of business! I'll never forget that place. My boss at the time and the maitre d' almost got in a fight that night."

That's our problem. Most of us have been going for so many years that we have had good/bad/or enough of most of the restaurants in town. That's why I need suggestions.

Bouchon is Keller's Bistro - much more affordable and I love Bistro food. I eat at Bouchon in Yountville every few months and would go more frequently if it were not an hour away. In my top 5 of Northbay restaurants, so I would think the LV Bouchon is wonderful.

Yolie's is a Churrascaria - Brazillian Steakhouse. If you are going the high protein route that would be a good choice. 3900 Paradise Road

Shame about the budget, my business partner (former 3 star chef) raves about Joel Robuchon; I'm sure I'd like the Daniel Boulud Brasserie at the Wynn.

I love Churrascarias. A serious meat pig out. Yum.

How much are entrees? With the economy, the crowd promises to be lighter than normal so we might be able to get in.

Have you been there before? They're excellent. Their beef is fresh, never frozen, fresh cut fries and cooked in peanut oil. You couldn't pay me to go to Subway and I love In-N-Out. There's one about to open within walking distance of my house.

I stand corrected. It was Krystal that was disgusting. I have never tried In n Out.

Hey there Ian,
At our annual trade show this year I took a large group (about 14) to Zeffirino’s in the mall area of the Venetian hotel http://tinyurl.com/5dlqfv . The food was great, the service was firs rate, the atmosphere was much more homey than most Vegas restaurants, and the price was VERY reasonable.

imcarthur 12-11-2008 05:40 PM

Great. Zeffirino should resolve my lust for Italian food. Thanks!

Ian
