How many MG owners?
Here is a picture of my 74 B. I finished my restoration 10/05.

Last one I owned was a '69 B-GT with over-drive. I commuted daily in it from Sarasota to Tampa when I was attending USF. The paint from a recent restoration was barley dry when it was totaled! It broke my heart! After fighting for months with the insurance company, I ended up with about $5,000 and the car. Because of all the towing and storage fees, I sold it to the yard for next to nothing. I had no place to keep it!

:*(, my uncle says those are money pits. I still kind of want one.

I didn't know the meaning of "money pit" until the 930 cast it's evil spell...

Nice MG-B....I had a '67 MG Midget in college.....Traded straight across for a '59 Austin Healey 100-6.....That led to a '62 XKE Roadster......Then a Fiat 124, 912 and now 2 911's.....
|
I had an MGA back in the day. For some time now I've had the idea I'd like to find an MG TF1500 ('54/'55) just to tool around in once in a while. A decent stock one would probably cost a bunch.

I have a B waiting for sills and floors. It seemed like such a simple project when I started... I still had hair back then too. I still keep my eye out for a GT or an A, I still think the A is one of the best looking cars ever produced.
Not mine. Someday... http://www.vord.net/cars/helga/mga-rear.jpg |
I had the MGA, two Austin Healey 100-4s, and a '59 TR3. What I really liked was driving without a top. With the TR3, you could almost drag your fingers on the road - the way the door was shaped with the panel going downward. Really cool.

Had a 67 MGB, British racing green. Can't say I really liked it. Fixed it up and traded it for some classic American iron.

If I ever saw a really nice '62 MGA for sale, I'd be sorely tempted...

I owned two Midgets in my younger years, a white 1970 and red 1973. Fun little cars and my first foray into DiY'ing automotive maintenance and repairs.
|
I have a 52 MGTD which is about 95 % done and a old rusty mgbgt. First MG was a MGA in college. Seems I have had a MG of some description ever since.
|
I had a '79 in college. I put some downdraft carbs, headers and Ansa exhaust on it and it was pretty fun. I cant imagine ever getting hit in the thing, talk about a tin can.
|
I had a 65 roadster. Loved that car. Simple to fix. Never let me down. Cheap parts. It was a great ride.

Damn, I love that pic. Just cool looking as all get out, and very "period correct". |

Chris, trust me...a '72 911S isn't that big a deal...
Well, maybe it is. I sure have zero interest in anything Porsche makes these days. ;) Always like the '62 MGA...the last year, with it's crazy setback Grille & sideways tail lights. last of the true MG roadsters, still side curtains, no wind up windows. |
I have a TD too, but mine is a 53'. Spent about 8 years restoring it. It's a blast to drive.... even with 54 bhp!
