Regifted X-mas Card? You decide..
I got this x-mas card in the mail the other day and was really surprised/shocked. I never heard of or gotten a x-mas card with white out on it before. Have you? What do you guys think? Even though I said just put it with the other cards the wife tried to scrape it off out of curiosity. The people we got it from we don't really get a long with but it's a formality. Sorry for the bad pic.

Enterprising and cheap. Scrooge would approve.
Does that say "Muscle, laughter and cheer"?

Regifted or Recycle?
Since a card is not really a gift I think it more appropriate to call it recycle. Think of all the trees that could be saved by just recycling our xmas cards. |

imcarthur - good point. Knowing him very well I just figured he was the motivating factor. He never ceases to amaze me. But maybe, just maybe, and that's a BIG MAYBE, he is innocent. But I doubt it.

Well if you had gotten it from me there are three possibilities a) I don't really like you ( but probably wouldn't have sent you a card b) I was trying to be funny and I do like you..c) I like you but you're a U of M grad ... ( are you ?? Sparty here hehehehe)
In all of the above it's extremely tacky and that would be the idea.. the last possibility is d) the guy or his wife is an idiot

Was your name in the return address on the envelope so it would be returned to you for postage for free?

Why stop there? I think you can get Halloween cards for real cheap right about now. Just cross out "Happy Halloween" and put "Happy Holidays". Badabing, badaboom. Saved 35%.
Or better still, just use these (just made it up - I'm bored today). Fold each page on the line provided, insert the second page inside the first (inside out), circle the appropriate items. Boom. Done. Hallmark can kiss my arse. All rights reserved ya cheap bastids.![]()

I once put McDonald's $1 gift certificates in my Christmas cards as a joke. Several people thanked me. Probably trying to be polite...

imcarthur - My wife agrees and thinks his wife came up with the idea and he just went along for the ride. TerryH - Not a bad idea, but I'm not sure I want to play that game. It would be REALLY funny if I did and found him posting on a forum about it. ![]() cgarr - Now, I wish I looked at the envelope. That would've just added to it. POP - Thanks, saved it and printed it and added 'Hand Made Just For You' to it. ![]() Steve Carlton - Heck, with the dollar menu I could have gotten a 4 piece McNuggets for one of my kids or a cheese burger for myself. I would've said thank you too!

My buddy and I sent the same birthday card to each other for about ten years. It was a really cheesey card with a picture of old sailing boats on the front that he bought me one year from a discount grocery store. I know because I was with him and he just handed it to me at the checkout. For a long while it never even got taken out of the little clear plastic wrapper. In fact I think I only took it out when I had to stick a Post-it note inside to change "Birthday" to "Wedding" when he got married.
Good times!

My customers can't wait for their re-gifted card. It's a tradition. You need to put in some store coupons as a gift.
