Have a nice spoon to offer

Just came by a nice straight WW2 era German spoon. They call it a Luger spoon. 1938 chamber date S 42, all matching numbers with ONE MATCHING NUMBER magazine. Comes with its orginal 1937 Berlin dated holster and the US GI CAPTURE CERTIFICATE with the spoon number listed on it dated February 2, 1946..

Overall a honest WW2 relic, to collect or shoot. It is little used with Holster wear mainily on the barrel bringing it to 80% to 85% of orginal blue remaining. The grip straps show almost NO wear, indicating it was mostly holstered during its life. Wood grips are in excellent condition etc

What makes this spoon a very desirable collectable is the matching number magazine, capture certificate and dated holster....along with being a matching number spoon of course.

Collectors go apey over matching magazines and certificates. Holsters just complete the package. Anyone interested just PM me an I can shoot you some pics via e-mail. I a very reasonable person in real life.

IIRC someone posted a broom-handle pic on the random pic thread.

Also IIRC when asked the said a shooter can be had for 600-700.

However tabs spoon with all the matching bits being a collectible most likely goes for more.

YMMV

With 2 matching mags.holster, capture papers and 97% condition about $3800.00

With one matching mag etc about $2800 in 95% condition.

Trade everything I have to offer and $2100 is a bargain....

List it on gunbroker, start at $1 with no reseve... give it like a 14 day run, pimp it out on different forums, lets see what it is really worth?

As to value, well... an Arty Luger, worth a big premium over a "standard" one, went for $3k after being refinished (nice, but still done) w/ just 2 aftermarket standard mags. Buyer coulda had a drum mag for it (real, but not maching #) for $500 more and said no.

But the condition of Tabs', with the extras, and *with* the capture papers, I'd expect it to push 9-10k maybe more if the economy wasn't quite so bad...

I'll give you $500 for it.
(this is a joke, unless you want to sell it to me for $500);)
