Planets align, earth wobbles, North pole becomes the south pole (vice versa).
Volcanoes erupt all over the entire planet.

All the ' plates ' shift and there are massive earthquakes, world wide.
Plate shifting causes Kalifornia to slide off into the ocean (the new Atlantis?)
and also creates massive tsunami's that cause several-story-tall walls of water to take out all those living near the ocean's edge.

The entire electrical grid is rendered useless. No power. No cell phones. No INTERNET. No TV. All communication (except battery powered) halts. No gas pumps. Nothing powered by electricity ...works. No potable water. No sewer system.

Mass panic. Banks will not give you your money (computers down). Riots in metro. areas over food/water/goods. Civilization starts to break down. Roving mob/gangs begin to tear apart the Blue States and then start their migration toward fly over country and Missouri's .... BIG AZZ WALL!

Why am I certain all this will occur?

So this alignment happens every 26,000 years? That means it's happened about 173 THOUSAND times already during the Earth's existence. What leads you to believe that occurrence #173001 is going to be any different?

There is no alignment in 2012. There is no alignment every 26,000 years (that is a totally unrelated number), and there is no fear of Sammy having to find that memory stick in 2013.

Geez, all you naysayers.... Look I like the aspect of a good story, that is all... (And I like to fan the flames a little he he) We all know that the moon's gravitation pull affect the earths tides and influences volcanic activity to some extent. The planets will align... there will be increased gravitational pull, who knows what is going to happen... this could be the very occurrence that split the earth's land mass into continents for all we know... I just think it is fascinating to learn more.... What I find more fascinating is the AMOUNT of historic peoples and prophets that have pointed to this day... I also find it fascinating that the planets align on this day... 12-21-2012...... Coincidence, I don't know, just think it is cool to discuss... BTW the time travelers name was JOHN TITOR . One can research his story at johntitor.com While this story is more than likely bogus, I think it is a cool story and took a little imagination and smarts to come up with... must adjust my foil hat while I do some more research....
