Yo darsic

Think of my simplifications as a summation of the analytic process. I fully understand the machinations and processes of the political and economic environment, however I simplify for a purpose and on purpose. Largely to avoid lengthy and complicated descriptions that would help obstruficate the point of my argument.

I also realize that I am pessimistic, and in some ways it is cathartic that I express the worst case scenarios. It is a way of expressing my inner most fears (what can go wrong will go wrong) ...does all this mean it is going to come to pass? I hope to God not!

Usually what transpires lies somewhere between the pessimism and optimism.

However since the early 1980's I have been saying that the US economically has been in decline. Our government since the 1960's has far outspent the revenues, and it is NOW coming home to roost. Our government for decades has been on a slow road to he11 and now we are getting a taste of what has been wrought.

If one looks at history one finds parallels between our own situation and the historical outcome of other nations...they all rise and they all eventually fall. Nothing makes the USA any different than any other large power in the history of man. That is the conclusion that has to be extrapolated as being the nearly inevitable future of the US and her global financial empire.

One might conclude that there is nothing different about this time from the last time a great nation has fallen..to assuming that there is a difference is to be arrogant.

We all are stuck in the box of our own times and perceptions as limiting factors as to what we comprehend. However by looking at the continuum of history and seeing its broad sweep we are somewhat able to extend our comprehension and be able to think out of the box.

I have long concluded that if one does NOT know their history whether it be personal nor societal one can NOT know where one stands currently nor have ANY idea of where one is going. Think of being able to stand on a mountain top and having a scenic view. While we can not know the outcome of the next throw of the dice, we can have a good idea of the outcome based upon the outcome of similar past actions...History is prologue

I am at least glad that you think of me as being a likable well meaning Troll. As evidenced by the demeanor of the picture of the Troll you have presented...

That, quite possibly, is the ugliest image I've seen in my years on this forum.

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

It might be said that anybody who challenges the "conventional wisdom" is a Troll, much as Socrates, Galileo, Newton, Darwin, Freud,Copernicus, Martin Luther and Jesus were.

It might be, but in your case I think you're just a waste of skin.

Unfortunately for you Kevin you were born about 90 years too late you would have made a wonderful NAZI Storm Trooper with your fanatical hatred of intellectualism and willingness to persecute anybody that has different ideas than yourself.

KevinP73 01-30-2009 01:56 PM

As a public service and to show I really bear no animositiy towards Kevin..

He should really stop and think his stance through as he is fast becoming like the Road Runner cartoon character and is sawing himself off a limb with the moderators.

Except that the term "troll" has nothing to do with the mythical monster. It references the style of fishing where you toss the baited hook in, then troll around, trying to get the fish to bite.

See, a troll on the web is someone who purposefully tosses inflammatory statements in, hoping to rile up people enough to "bite"...so the troll can them verbally abuse them.

You, my friend, do not do this. You are not a troll.

Well...now you are, since you decided to compare yourself to Socrates, Galileo, Newton, Darwin, Freud, Copernicus, Martin Luther AND Jesus. THAT is trolling.

No that is egotism.

It isn't ego if you can deliver the goods...

You see Panzu I thoght that one through before I ever posted it..in other words I anticipated such a response, and had an answer ready.

Trolling is ALLOWING Kevin to let himself self destruct...which I really don't want to see.
