I hear "Long Cool Woman" by the Hollies tossed about when they are in the improv section.. just a riff or two.. it works and fits..

Just about anything from the riffmaster Mr Page

craigster59 02-15-2009 04:43 PM

The Kinks "You Really Got Me" or the Sones "Satisfaction" or "Can't You Hear Me Knockin"

I love this tune, and when I think guitar riff, this one always comes to mind:

This version does not quiet have the howl..of the 69 Tour...but it does have edge.

I think Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Bo Didley, Jake Holmes, Muddy Waters, and many others would disagree.......;)

My 2 favourites are:

Intro to Go For Soda (Kim Mitchell)

Intro to Sweet Home Alabama.

They were two of my "oh my god I have to learn how to play that" riffs when I started to play the guitar many years ago.
