'09 Corvette ZR1
I was watching Top Gear on tivo last night...they had a shootout in the US with the Caddy CTS-V, Corvette ZR1, and the Dodge Challenger. As expected, the Challenger was the most mundane out of the three. ...I'm not much of a Corvette guy at all, but I have to say that the ZR1 is truly awesome.
Faster than the 911 GT2, the Ferrari 599, and even the Lambo LP640. 0-60 in 3.3 Seconds and top end at 205 mph. It's got 640hp in a 3350lb car. Clarkson was going bananas over it....all of the performance with good air conditioning, a great stereo, and comfy seats. If you guys have a chance to see this episode, it's worth it. It was nice seeing these guys genuinely impressed with some American iron.

Awesome car, although I like the CTS-V a little bit more. I've never really liked the looks of the modern corvettes.
On another forum someone showed a picture of a window sticker at a dealer. The dealer added $70K to the MSRP for "market adjustment."

I drove a friend's Z06 a couple months back, needed to sit down for a while after that. I love the sound of a flat six at full song but that Z06 was just brutal. I can't imagine what the ZR1 is like.

I've spent some time at the track in a Z06, and it's a VERY impressive machine. The acceleration is really visceral. My only real complaint was that the steering isn't as responsive as I'd like - it didn't speak to me as much as a Porsche.

I've never heard a negative comment about anything with the modern vettes except about the interiors. Which, when you are blasting down the track, isn't all that relevant.

No road car Porsche makes can compete with the ZR1 on a track. If performance is your thing, the Vette is now at the top of the hill.
