Vandalism in the world today...
While visiting a friend on the 18th - 19th, about 600 cars were vandalised in this manner:
My car: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1235145427.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1235145444.jpg Friend's car: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1235145466.jpg Another on same street (there were 6): http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1235145507.jpg The police didn't take our names or any information. The police didn't even go around knocking on doors telling the car owners their cars had been painted (we told a few). Evidently, in Marshfield, MO., graffiti and defacement isn't a crime. That is what they told us. I sure am glad they spend that tax money though. |
Damn..you should have defaced and vandalized the squad car while the officers were standing there. Sorry that happened to you. I hope it's just water based latex.
|
Why do they prosecute insurance fraud if they ignore vandalism?
|
Friend and I managed to get ours off by lots of scrubbing and washing while it was 25F out. It wasn't quite dry yet because I happened to walk outside about 30 minutes after the incident...but the other cars aren't going to be that lucky. It is latex paint, but it will stain if allowed to dry.

If your car is broken into but nothing of value is stolen, our cops take a report by phone. And they wonder why people fight gun control so bitterly....... |

I gotcha, just you know how things blow out of proportion on forums! :)
The police are even worse where I live. Seven reports on our house, none are even investigated. I even did the investigation work on two them...person's name, evidence, where they work, what they drive. All that only to hear, "Just because the trash has that guy's postal mail with his address on it, doesn't mean it is his trash." I really don't know if I have ever heard a more ignorant and self-incriminating statement than that, especially from a police officer. |

Coulda just been some pesky teenagers out and about having some sophmoric fun grabbing trash bags out of people's herbie curbies and dumping them in other people's yards... know what I mean? |
I know what you mean, but that isn't what happened and this happened multiple times. Witnesses saw the man do it, plus he placed it in a dumpster clearly marked "Private".
There are three court appearances he has failed to make. I know of one warrant for arrest. He still lives in this city, works at the same place, drives the same car, and dumps his trash in other people's cans. The police won't arrest him...even three years later. I once even found trash from our neighbor in our trash can. Called the police, they came out and she admitted doing it. There was a dirty diaper with the, you know, stuff smeared all over the bottom of the can. I told the police I wanted her to clean it out and they refused to acknowledge my request. Many people have little ethics. It's a sad, sad country. And, BTW, that's a quote from the officer, not paraphrasing or interpretation. |
you need to let this go...
or go take a dump in his/her yard.. or start dumping your trash in his can.. 3 yrs..WTF..settled it, move ..or bury him.. not likely Barney would notice or care.. Rika |
Rikao4,
I don't have any stress about this. I simply like to play my part in trying (trying I said) to keep this city clean. It is much more constructive than all of the things you just said to do. |
constructive....
it's about having some fun or getting even.. he too is doing his part in keeping your city clean... granted ..he's using your can... anyway..seems your town does not care either.. 3 failures to appear,+ warrant.... Rika |

Barney would so kick his a$$ seabass! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1235165007.jpg |
Barney, hahahaha. That's funny.
Rikao4, that's pretty much what this thread is about; the entities that are sworn to protect and serve, not only police officers, that don't care. I got your point, though. :) What's even more stupid is it didn't even make their local paper. The dispatch officer lives on the same street where those pictures were taken; her car got it too. |
It's sad that the police don't "shive-a-git" anymore about crimes. They are so concerned about the "other" crimes. Drug prevention (overtime), speed laws (overtime) seat belts (overtime) security(overtime), etc. etc. etc.
|
They don't care about those here either. It's all about a quota here. Near the end of the month, stuff happens. After the quota is met, they are done for the month.
