Bidding on ebay

What is the best way to bid on a car? wait till the last minute, or bid you max at the beginning? I guess it's the fun way to buying a car. :p

You wait. Newbs get into bidding early, and then they get the fever, bidding a car way, way up. This almost always leads to buyers remourse and a relisting due to default.

Personally, I make an effort to bid once (the amount I'm willing to pay) and then leave it alone.

Both.
I decide what my max bid will be, then wait until the last 10 seconds or so to place the bid (if it hasn't already been passed).
Edit: Never bought a car though. I suppose I would want to contact the seller well ahead of time to discuss PPI, transport, etc.

I contacted the owner and he left out a lot of things from the listing..
it's a 90' 944 S2. it has a salvage title due to a flood. the engine is seized. and the interior is in Ok shape. anyways i offered him a fair amount due to the seized engine, and he shot it down saying he could get twice as much from a dismantler.... I'll let this one pass. SmileWavy
