Wall E. F you.

What a crock of leftist crap. Our child was not entertained, and outside of a few chuckles, neither were we.

Child story: FAIL. Kid was either bored or sad at the characters being separated. The attempts at slapstick comedy were not funny.

Adult story: FAIL. Was that vague, dystopia future supposed to make an impression on the adults watching? Or were you merely hoping to splash in a germ of 'cool' in your pedestrian kiddie porn? Either way, F you dweezl nuts, you failed.

Wall-E sucks a hose of spooge in dimensions that would give NASA pause.

Porsche-O-Phile 03-14-2009 11:11 PM

Wow. Anger management classes anyone?

masraum 03-14-2009 11:18 PM

But how do you really feel? Don't hold back.

Huh, I thought it was entertaining. A bit of a comment on our society with interesting visuals. Nothing deep or meaningful really, but worth a watch. If everyone had the same opinion, this would be a boring place. Hell, some people watch golf!

Turn the knob…all will be fine thereafter!

We liked it - Son and his friends as well. I try not to read too deeply into the leftist movie crap.

Sure there is a message to it - maybe it's as simple as 'don't litter'.

At least they didn't kill anyone's mommy in this flick.

I thought it was a fantastic movie. In all seriousness, I was engrossed in WALL*E perhaps more than any movie of the last 10 years; it managed to tap into something subconscious in me that I haven't felt in a long, long time. By far the best of the PIXAR movies, and, as far as I'm concerned, the best movie of last year.

My opinion, when I saw WALL*E for the first time last year? If you don't like this movie, you don't have a heart.

kstar 03-15-2009 01:23 AM

Movie of the Year for 2008, IMO; deserved the Best Picture Oscar.

Blew me away.

I found it immensely deep.

YMMV.

kstar 03-15-2009 01:28 AM

BTW, last time I checked, no one is required or forced to watch any movie . . . in most countries.

Discretion and self-filtering is helpful to one's sanity.

My GF didn't like it, I thought it was cute. I'm not deep enough to catch all the bias.

livi 03-15-2009 02:02 AM

Have not seen it yet, but that was a funny review. Do I detect a slight dissatisfaction? :D

Oh Haha 03-15-2009 05:33 AM

I didn't hate it but just wasn't entertained like with other kid's movies. CARS, MONSTERS, INC, Etc.

Next time take the kids to a porn movie? Are there any porn theater left? Has the internet destroyed the porn movie house?

ben parrish 03-15-2009 07:13 AM

Didn't like it either..kids or parents.

Les Paul 03-15-2009 07:49 AM

Wife and I liked it. Maybe because it was the first blu-ray movie we'd watched on our new system after Christmas.

"Video killed the radio star"

(What the Hell is a Wall E.)?

Noah930 03-15-2009 08:03 AM

I liked the movie. So did my kids. The "moral" was OK. What's wrong with encouraging people to not be wasteful? I didn't take that to be a particularly political message. Maybe social commentary, but that's not the same as left/right leanings. And I was impressed by how a story could be told with minimal dialogue (almost like Le Mans).

I think Paul Ruebens had a hand in it.

The first 45 minutes of Wall*E is brilliant - as good as any film made. It falters somewhat in the last half imho but is still overall a great movie. The message of people as blob consumers is pretty spot-on though.

I agree. I have it on Blu-Ray and the animation is stunning. Great sound, too. Really good film.

The scene of Wall E and Eve flying around outside the spaceship was perfect. The way the music fit with that scene was pure genius, totally blown away.
