NBC To Sign Ex-Gov Blagojevich As Reality TV Star

Call me old fashioned, but I find this rather outrageously distasteful.

NBC wants to sign the ex-governor of Illinois and current indicted felony corruption defendant, Rod Blagojevich, to star on a reality TV show, "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here". He will be paid $80K per episode.

You know, corrupting our government by selling a US Senate seat is a very serious crime, and I don't like NBC making light of it. Senators make decisions that affect all of us. If Blagojevich were under indictment for treason, murder, child pornography, etc, I bet NBC wouldn't be so enthusiastic about him.

Actually come to think of it, I think its more effective to contact NBC's parent company, GE. Right to their investor relations folks, I think.

Pretty disgusting, obviously they'll do anything for the almighty $$ and will justify it because times are hard and they need to deliver for the shareholders and employees. They're doing it for the economy and for the country, you know, making the sacrifice!

Agreed. It's making light of a serious crime. Oh well, just another reason for me to NOT watch network TV. Except sports, they don't have anything worth watching anyway.

I think he would be a fine lead-in for Olbermann. I wouldn't watch but it could boost the # of MSNBC devotees.

He needs to get a judge to give him the okay to leave the country, can't imagine why a judge would do that, maybe if he was appointed by the right governor...
