Unhappy My Wife Stole My 911!

So the Wife and I were having a few beers this weekend and discussing cleaning out the garage. She was in and out of the house organizing her side and I hadn't started on my side yet. I was sitting in our Tropical room with one at full tilt when I caught a glimpse of my 911 zooming off down the street. WTF!!! I just sat there shocked, not knowing what to do...
The 911 is a barn find that I have been working on for the past few years now. It runs good but is not street legal yet with lighting issues and no tags. True, I have taken it around the block to try things out but she is not a good driver and had been drinking. Sobriety remaining questionable.
While she was absent, I realized that I have been kind of selfish with the whole Porsche thing. All my spare time had been used up on the Porsche, with friends or on-line. This was her way of pushing my reset button.
She returned shortly and I just played it cool. Bitting my lip, I asking how it drove. We later discussed the dangers of drinking and driving and one of the purposes of the 911 is for us to take weekend drives together when it is ready.

I'm not sure I would have posted this. You might want to slightly edit your story in case prying eyes come by.

Anyway, you know better, this thread is useless w/o PICS!

Just remember the words, "when mama's happy, everyone's happy. When mama's not happy, nobody else is happy".

Just be glad the car came back in one piece.

Hide the keys or leave the battery disconnected from now on. Or pull the coil wire. Somethin'...

Maybe she was just heading down to the Oyster Shack and couldn't get the mower started.

Well, at least she did not have a wreck in it and then run away...

No, small pieces are easier to carry and hide.

Guys, all is well. I just need to stay in tune to her needs. Porsche in the garage and Ferrari in the house.

Am I the only one that would be excited if my Wife stole my 911? My Wife does not really have any interest in cars and the only car I have seen her get excited about was a Spyder replica we were building but then she stopped caring about that car when we painted it...she preferred the primer look I guess. I understand the concerns about her drinking and driving but seperate of that who cares if she takes the car for a ride? I am still hoping my Wife says that she wants to take the car to the track...

I think you might just be the only one if you wanted her to take it while buzzed. That's the point here. Would she have driven the car if not drinking? I'm thinking if the car had been there for that long (project) she would have expressed interest long before the weekend.

Sure, a female companion to the track and sorts would be great. So would a lot of things....

"Put your cigarette out." (because im a control freak)
"Dump your whiskey out." (because i'm a control freak)

That being said, driving away on his 3mph lawnmower- pretty stupid.

But....why? The whole incident- totally unneccesary on everyone's part. Why?
