I didn't particularly care for the scene where they tied down a kid and blinded him so he would be a better beggar.
I wanted to leave right then but my wife didn't so I stayed.

Fantastic film, but it could really damage Indian tourism. Seriously.

India is a place of stunning beauty, endless human complexity, and poverty that is hard for the western mind to conceive. And the whole country smells like diesel exhaust and cow*****.
I'll be there in about 3 weeks.

We went to see it tonight. I thought it was pretty good. It was different then most films we see nowadays.

I heard it was good, and plan to watch it. Do you know when it's coming out on DVD?

Great film. And a wonderful, mad, sad and complex land.

Just caught this last night with the wife. Really good film! The part of the story dealing with their childhood years was every bit as gripping as their adult years.

Finally caught up w/ this on DVD. What a great film, possibly the most romantic thing I've ever seen. JMO.
