Thriller was cool. "Off the Wall" which was before Thriller, was IMO better. There was a lot of edge to that album. "Heartbreak Hotel" was a great song; still is. Lots of layers and rawness to it. |
Can you imagine being the EMT that shows up and has to give him CPR?
|
Yeah, or the doctor performing the autopsy.

Well, not to hijack, but Mills got enough money to be comfortable, but Paul has the means. However, I get the irony.

Ed, Farrah, MJ... Cronkite was reportedly grave, but other sources have said nonsense. |
It's a fine line between uber-talent and freak.
IMO, the uber-talent side died in the late 80's. |

I never understood what the big deal was over him, he was interesting when he was a kid prodigy with the Jackson 5, once he went out on his own I never liked his stuff, nor did any of my friends. We were always trying to figure out who the hell was buying his albums because none of us were. As a father of 2 sons I found this man to be the most dangerous type of pedo because he was adored by blind fans, look no further than this thread to see folks still defend him to this day. Scary stuff. |
Back in 2000, Michael was cutting a new record...I got a call from his producer, I forget the guys name now...but he was in the studio with Michael cutting the record and they wanted a piece of my company's gear to use on the record.
I cut the guy a deal in exchange for an artist endorsement from Michael, which we got and we used... but I must say the producer came across as a sycophant who was somewhat clueless about anything. I think among other things, Michael surrounded himself with many of the wrong people. MSNBC is now reporting that his ex lawyer made a statement that Michaels people were feeding him tons of pills. So, it may be another Elvis situation in that regard. |
Villified by the people and the media and today ohh how he will be missed.
Yes he had buckets of talent. He also did not have a happy life inspite of all the money and fame. His old man was a tyrant, and evrybody else kissed his azz from the time he was 5 years old. Yes it is a sad ending, much like Elvis.. |
He already has 7 of the top 100 songs on Itunes - he’s an instant sensation!! He is going to be BIG!

When he was young he was excellent but not the last 15 years. What he did was sick, no other way to describe it. |
Everybody has heard the rumors, but was he ever convicted? Has anyone ever offered concrete proof of anything?
Sure, he was a wierd guy and didn't really do anything to help his image or do anything to change his detractors opinions in the later years. I think the guy was highly suspicious and I wouldn't have let my kids hang around with him, but that doesn't automatically make him guilty does it? I'm not defending him, just saying that we normally crow on about due process here and now we seem to have changed our tune. The guy is dead. I don't care what he did, this isn't the time for name calling. |

But for the ueber-sanctimonious that's enough. |
OK enough is enough! I started the first post about MJ jokes several hours before he died and I have no regrets about it.
What makes me sick is all the people that are backing his ass and saying what a good guy he was - get with it he was a child molester that had money to buy his way outta prison and you wanta jump on the sympathy train. There's lots of child molesters in prison now , pick one and hop on his band wagon cause he had no money to buy his freedom. It's not RIP for MJ it's SIH - suffer in hell |

Convicted or not, there is more than enough evidence that MJ was a child molestor. My treatment for child molestors is to be taken behind the court house and shot until dead. |
There is a difference between enjoying the company of kids and actually molesting them.

But I also would not accept $25 million from someone I knew was guilty to drop my case. How much are your kids worth? If there is "more than enough evidence" then why was he never locked up? I'm not saying he was a good guy just making a point. |
