I'm just hoping our trenches don't collapse....

Porsche-poor 05-11-2011 09:00 AM

if they do you will have 200 feet of low spots.....

Stijn!!

So trenching is what it takes to make it rain in western OK. You shoulda done that months ago. :)

porsche4life 05-11-2011 09:20 AM

No kidding Glen....

I guess if they cave, they will be softer to redo....

i am going to pick up a load of dirt and probably call it a day. it is totally muddy outside. i can deal with the cold, but i don't have a lot of motivation to go slop about in the mud. the weather is supposed to be nicer tomorrow, so i'll have a head-start on it, plus i am going to be watching my boy all afternoon, i can see that writing on the wall.

This is a screen capture of the radar just before noon local time. Just a few minutes ago. The bottom arrow is coming right at my office. The office is a little above the m in Oklahoma City. I may have to park my El Camino inside if it looks like hail.

Build and ark yet?

GH85Carrera 05-11-2011 10:19 AM

We really need the rain here. We are way below normal. I wish it would rain 6 inches today, just no tornadoes or hail.

Porsche-poor 05-11-2011 10:21 AM

we are well ahead of the rain game. in fact its raining now. getting close to the record for not making it to 70 degrees. May 23 to be exact.

GH85Carrera 05-11-2011 10:31 AM

Last year were were WAY above normal rainfall until July. Then it stopped raining. We are several inches behind normal right now.

Porsche-poor 05-11-2011 10:34 AM

why be normal? in our case cold and under water!

That is what most of the country thinks of as normal for your part of the country. ;)

Porsche-poor 05-11-2011 10:54 AM

Will that cause flooding when summer finally arrives?

it already has. snowbird broke their record a week ago. then it snowed about three more feet up there. they are talking about being open on weekends THROUGH JULY! two weeks ago, their midmountain snowpack was over 200"!!!!

i posted pictures three summers ago with snow on the peaks at the end of june and snow back on the peaks before september. its been the same every year since.

Porsche-poor 05-11-2011 12:53 PM

I hate snow as much as rain.

GH85Carrera 05-11-2011 01:54 PM

Stijn!!

Oh the huge manatee!

Our internet here at work is down due to the storm. I had to go stand by the front door to get a cell signal to post!

I listen to pandora all day and it is quiet without Internet. We may have to close early, this is barbaric to have no Internet.
