Moring guys.
Made reservations to go and eat out tonight with Vicky.
Have to arrange a taxi as well, so both of us can drink...

Rick V 11-28-2009 02:28 AM

Good deal, G-Man

svandamme 11-28-2009 02:33 AM

so it's now officially one of those on , off , on , off , on , off, on off relations ships?
Also known as the Strobelight Deal ?

That engine will never get rebuilt, you should just load it up on a lorry, and drive it to my garage.

Geronimo '74 11-28-2009 02:38 AM

Will you rebuild it for me?? :D
No seriously, it's coming under the car before the year ends, be sure to have some free time to come and help.
Still not sure to go 3.4 and some extra mods or 3.5, twinplug, and keep the number of other mods lower.
3.5 sounds really good and I guess I can add extra modifications later....

svandamme 11-28-2009 02:40 AM

before year ends? That's like 4 weekends left and they're all booked solid on my end.
Have you started taking off the stuff on top yet?

3.5 , twin plug, so that means you'll go with Motec too? yer nuts. might as well get a 964 engine it will probably be cheaper in the long run
factor in that a 3.2 head needs to be machined for TP. and ported for the upgraded displacement... then the intake stack... stock 3.2, when the engine is so much more
you're going downhill fast on a very slippery slope, budget wise that is.

LoL, Boris has a new way of dealing with mice.

Untill recently , he brought most mice in alive, and kept toying with them in the house.
Obviously , i'de take em away, since blood & guts is not what i aim for in my house.
Each time, Boris would be super pissed off that i took away his toy mouse.

Now i saw him in the backyard, caught a mouse, horsing around with it... getting closer to the cat flap...

suddenly, he catches it again , walks to the cat flap with the mouse still alive.
stops 20 cm before the cat flap, and he just offed the mouse with one very determined bite.
Then came through the cat flap.

So the blood & guts part is not solved yet, but at least his lust for inflicting Death is.

Now i try to get the dead mouse before he starts messing up my floor, leaving me to cleanup the mess.
He's mental... he growls at me like a dog does... if he get's any bigger, i'll need to get a crowbar to get mice out of his grip.

And once the mouse is gone, he turns back to the regular affectionate Boris. It's really a Jekyll&Hide kinda thing...
So much instinct when it comes down to catching , killing and eating little animals. He's a good cat.

Great way to talk me out of it.... but I guess you're right.
3.4 it is then...
Not that that won't be a slippery slope...

Rick V 11-28-2009 03:36 AM

well drive the warm soft one during the winter and spend spring finishing the car and drive that during the summer. With the warm soft on riding shotgun. Sounds like a win-win to me

svandamme 11-28-2009 03:37 AM

finally got off my ass and did some more work on the never ending shower project.
finished chopping off plaster, got the shower tub in position, leveled, and glued the pvc pipes for the drain.

Now i wait for it to dry, then i can run some water through them pipes and check for leaks

Our Daschund is a mouse eater. She does not have the hunting skills of a cat, but she has caught several mice. She came in the house with a mouse in her mouth. The tail of the mouse was sticking out of the side of her mouth. As I moved to intercept her from entering the living room she chomped down and swallowed. Mr Mouse was gone. Nothing to clean up.

I got my suspension removed from the car. Here is the pile of parts. The beer is something new to me. In Oklahoma all real beer must be purchased at room temperature. The beer is Grimbergen Blonde Ale. I have not tried it as yet because I am saving it until I finish the suspension dis-assembly. All the parts are off, but I still need to get the a-arms taken apart.

I was motivated to try the Grimbergen since it is brewed by Monks in Belgium, or so the label says. The store normally has something else from Grimbergen that was called Double Dark or something. They were out of it so I went with Blonde Ale. Tomorrow when I get the A-Arms apart I will know how it tastes.
