Morning/Afternoon Gents.
A great day at work today. |
Evening vas..... Time for me to check out....
Heading to the airport in the morning... I'm hoping to beat the bad weather out of OK. |

Have a good one, Sid. |

Morning Vas,
I'm already at work, and hating it. Tomorrow I have yet another sit down with mister boss man.... Whatever he's going to propose, I'm almost sure I'll have to decline because I already know he will not give me enough compensation for the loss of my car.... (jops at the headoffice don't require a company car...) I am very reluctant to accept anything they will offer because they gave my position that was rightfully mine to somebody else. So I see it as me doing them a favor by looking at other opportunities in house. My contract says site manager, they cannot force me to accept anything else. So whatever they offer will have to be equal or better, in both job satisfaction AND pay. I am not planning to take a step back. If MY requirements are not met, I am standing my ground. On a more pleasant note, my engine and tranny will both be ready at the end of this week. |
Hey, G.
Good to see ya. Saw the engine pics. :) Sweet! Yes, it sounds like they are trying to hang on to you for less. :( Ah well, you can always move to Australia. ;) |

Yep, we are all wealthy, happy, sunbaked crooks down here. ;)

G'day
Marcus is posting in other threads, so he's alive and well. Getting ready for work, Boris has an affectionate moment, he's sitting on my desk in front of my keyboard, leaning against my chest..front paws over my left arm and purring..For the amount of killing , fighting and stealing and he does, he can be really a sweet kitteh.. He's a true Jekyll & Hyde |

Life is good, business is good, I'm doing well emotionally.
Saw TEB out on a date at one of my regular bars the other day....paid my tab, their tab, shook the guys hand and left.....I'm told she nearly had a nervous breakdown....oh well, not the intent, just trying to show some good will and that I'm over it on the personal level. The toughy now.....I'm triple booked for NYE...all have their merits, but only one is into the multiple thing I'm pretty sure so I guess I need to narrow it down to just one.... There's the party girl/bartender whom I've known (no real long term potential honestly, but definitely could remain friends) The neighbor (I have a feeling things could get really weird and I don't see any long term potential) Then there's the newest.....slightly older than me, 2 kids, professional, educated, bright, athletic.......seems like real potential, but I somehow doubt the easy NYE lay.... The logical part of my brain knows which choice I should make.......and that makes me want to drive a railroad spike into my skull.... |

That sound like the most entertaining for us. |

But at least you're going in the right direction, I think. Quote:

Having a late lunch last week.
A lovely couple sat down next to us. After eating they started takling to us for a bit. Both in the 70s. When I left, I paid for the old couple. I left without saying a word. |
Party girl for sure...

G-man, maybe you're right. I just saw it as a gesture of good will....I hit the point a while ago where I realized I shouldn't/couldn't be angry anymore...I forgave her in my own mind....it was merely a gesture of good will. The bartender is a really sweet person and I'm sure a lot of 'fun', I just don't see it going long term or even lasting more a decent short term. The mom caught my attention and for more than just physical reasons (though she is rather attractive)........I think my 'no kids' standard is just going to have to flex to allow for kids as long as they can support the kids with no help... I wish there was a morally un-objectionable way to push the mom off until after NYE and spend NYE with the bartender. I think it's best to just forget the neighbor, I'm envisioning far too many bad outcomes there... |
