i don't need a doctor to tell me i have a sinus infection. i clearly have one. i also don't need a doctor to tell me that i need a broad spectrum anti-biotic for that, if i choose to take an antibiotic.

i realize that the above may sound cavalier, but keep in mind that i haven't taken an antibiotic in about 12 years. and then it was for a sinus infection, also. its not like i just dose myself with meds.

i've been doing that with normal saline, all day today and i was doing all day yesterday. it works.

also, i ate some dijon mustard with a couple cloves of fresh garlic crushed into it. i used pretzels as the delivery device.

Read a deal the other day about done people using a netti pot and getting a bad arsed bacterial infection from something in the municipal water supply.

Go with the Horseradish. Trust me, I'm a Jew.

What does your people being good with numbers have to do with a sinus infection...

RKDinOKC 12-27-2011 10:26 PM

granulated garlic works much better than fresh. The antiseptic properties of the granulated make it past the stomach.

Pop corn and garlic bread are also good delivery because you can butter, garlic salt, red pepper, the heck out of it and the butter kind of sticks the garlic salt and pepper to your throat. With garlic bread you can add some mozzarella cheese to help the taste of all that garlic and pepper.

pseudomonas, i'd bet.

horseradish.... if i had some, i'd do it.

anyway, i think it is going to start clearing, now.

Too much horseradish can cause worse health reactions than the sinus problem. Profuse sweating, fever, dizziness, blurred vision.

I have filtered, and UV treated water on my tap. I have to use extra floride treatment because it takes it out of the water.

nynor 12-27-2011 10:29 PM

You familiar with Passover and the bitter herbs? There was a game we played for many years to see who could eat the biggest amount without showing any symptoms. One year, I decided to shut the game down and win once and for all. Now, every year, I eat roughly a teaspoon full without flinching and it has become tradition for me to do so. I guess you can say I am a horseradish specialist and professional. :)

It really does clean out your sinuses! :D Even when they are not blocked. :D

Had to add the water filter system when my brother with Multiple Sclerosis was living with me. If he drank coffee from regular tap water, or took a bath/shower in regular tap water it would effect his MS so that he couldn't move for hours. The filtered water makes Ice Cubes that are perfectly clear and hard as rocks, you can't chew them.

My pilot buddy at work is renting a Cessna tomorrow afternoon, and we're doing 2 hours of flying. I may finally get into that &%#@. We work about 20 meters from the runway in Hawthorne so he can just call ahead and rent a 172 any time. He's a German pilot, and just got his US license renewed.

I have this new GoPro2 that we are going to take along, fly down to long beach / catalina area I think.

I've never flown in anything with less than 2 jet engines and 60-some seats before. So this may be an experience.

slodave 12-28-2011 01:07 AM

It always is. :) Enjoy! You think you've felt "bumps" before. :D
