do they even have snowplows in virginia? i know they didn't have them in kentucky when i was a kid.

What's a snowplow?

Yeah we have a smallish fleet of actual state plows. The bulk of snow removal is subcontracted to private haulers. Most of the dump truck drivers have plows. The state will pay by the hour and load spreaders on the back. We usually knock the roads out quickly, but this was an unusual storm. That and I like to run the back roads, the last ones plowed. I have had enough of winter, I want to be warm again.

My island uses graders then front loaders to clean up the rest.
I miss the snow plows and how efficient they are! One pass and the road is finished ...

oahu. i've been there a few times. parts of it are very nice. i particularly like the beaches at laie. nice reef fish and NO ONE around.

How about those oversized snow blowers?
