Nope joe, her face was that pixelated when I met her...... She's sorta like the stig, no one knows what she really looks like.....

LOL!!!!

HHI944 03-25-2012 08:30 PM

Well, based off her posts here, id say she's just as cool as the stig.

slodave 03-25-2012 09:35 PM

Yay.

Ugh. Cars can be real beatches to work on. I'm in a daze from working so long on a repetetive stupid task. Student fabrication accuracy made things 10 times harder. I can't believe how the rest of the guys go until 3 AM days in a row. Oh wait, yes I can. They start around noon.

My brain is frazzled now.

Oh, hi Tweeze.

porsche4life 03-25-2012 10:11 PM

Max, you need to hit up Schumi about the SAE stuff... He was deep into it....

Flieger 03-25-2012 10:24 PM

All I can say is I am not designing my suspension for next year to include many heim joints with tabs that are welded to a tube frame chassis and which have holes which must line up and be spaced exactly as far apart as the A-arm span, and which need washers of certain sizes stacked in order while inserting a bolt and while tweaking the arm with all your finger and forearm force while not moving the car off the stands...

svandamme 03-25-2012 10:27 PM

g'day

HHI944 03-25-2012 10:27 PM

Ugh, gonna pick up a cheap corded drill tomorrow to finish prepping the bed of the truck..........it's just to much for my cordless.....and a siphon for the gear fluids....All this tinkering on the truck has been a good way to unwind.....sliced my fingertip wide open on a sheared bolt though....

porsche4life 03-25-2012 10:28 PM

Get a real grinder...

I managed to re-thread a fine thread shoulder bolt with coarse threads for the first half of the threaded length. That amazed the other guy working with me. He said we aren't going to be using bolts from that company anymore. They should not be that soft! The nut actually looked pretty good. The coarse threads were stronger I guess. Something to consider when looking at head studs and threaded inserts for your 911 engine.

I did that with just a short crescent wrench and a normal rachet. It was only a 7/16ths bolt though.

I kept the bolt since it looked cool, but I don't have a camera so no picture.

I'd need a 911 to kepp that in mind for first.......one day......hopefully.....got another goal that's more pressing first......gonna have a Maserati before 30........pretty well on track for the Jags replacement to be a used QP in 2 years....

This bolt was just for one of the rear flood lights....nothing important.....I cut it so a cover would fit as the lights are aftermarket and the bolts were never trimmed.....then I slipped tightening another bolt and bled all over everything.....it's all good though, I think a little blood actually increases the reliability of old British electricals....

Is it safe for me to come out yet?

HHI944 03-26-2012 01:28 AM

*poof*

Rick V 03-26-2012 01:31 AM

If they don't directly involve her, why the doom and gloom?

slodave 03-26-2012 01:35 AM

Yay!
