Um, it's not a theme park. :)
You should be working a summer job, hanging atthe beach or other places. All work and no play, makes... Well, you know the rest. |

I like school for the most part. Having access to the labs and being in SLO is like a theme park if you ask me. Engineering theme park or nature-lover theme park.

I understand what you're saying, Max. I went to college in upstate New York. You'd get to school in August/September and the weather would be good for maybe a month. Then it would be cold/rainy/snowy/overcast until about May. You'd have a month of good weather before the end of the year, and that weather was somewhat spoiled by the knowledge that you had finals hanging over your head. And then that would be it.
So spending a summer at school was actually really nice. The pace of the courses was much lower key than the regular schoolyear. You'd always have a couple buddies who were staying on campus, too. So it was great to enjoy summer and the local environs for once. |
I took a summer class my first year in, but I was also planning on spending the summer in Billings, work and have some fun with friends that either stayed or lived there. Yeah, the class was at a slower pace and the teacher loved fishing, so there were days when we'd come into class and see "Gone fishing" on the whiteboard - that meant we got the morning off as well.
But, you only live once and you only get to live your 20's once as well, so make the best of it. But we keep telling you that. :) |

Did a business class round the world once. That meant traveling first class in your country.....It was hard to take. |
A mate just sent me these pictures of a 100series landcruiser. This happened last weekend in the West Australian wilderness near Karratha. My mates mate just happened to come along shortly after the incident

That must have hurt the ear drums.
|
what?

Looks to me that that tank exploded in the car. If you're in said car, that's gotta be loud.
Or you're playing me. :D |
Good PURDY morning everyone! Thats a nasty car crash.
|
Markus! I'll be in Europe from 9/11-9/20. Make some time, ditch the kids and girlfriend! :) Or bring the GF, just ditch the kids.
|
That is a purdy thought, Dave. I will try to arrange it.
Rick, donīt you think that is a purdy plan? :D |
Wow! Was that a DIY propane or natural gas power conversion on the land rover? Looks like the tank was slung on the frame rail under the driver seat.
|
That would be the passenger seat down under.
