Ahh. Ill have a few from tomorrow. Now there are a few from practice gigs.

Howdy folks.
Wow, what a busy day for Saturday. I got up and out of the house in time for a 8:30 haircut appointment. Back home for a few minutes and off to the El Camino breakfast meeting. Back home and the wife wants lunch so I off to a local fast food place to get her lunch. She will be my care taker for a while so I figured any brownie points now will help. ;) The local PCA region was having an autocross and I knew I had too much to do to play at the track for many hours. I drove the 911 to the track to pick up the cash income for the event. I called Richard and asked how he was doing and if there was anything I could do while I was still able to get around. He asked if I would get him lunch for he and his mom. Another trip to a take out place and a short visit to Richard. Back home and work up the deposit for the autocross. I took the advice from Tweezer and my sister in law who is a nurse and bought a batch of gift cards to Starbucks. There is a Starbucks 1/4 of a mile from my house. I have never been inside before today. I have 10 cards ready to hand out. Then it was necessary to check this thread! :D |
Good luck.

Hey Glen, yeah my schedule is all over the board, it all depends on what we have and when I am needed. It floats as needed. Weekends really don't mean much since it is just Beth and I and her schedule is muffed up as well
David, I can not give you an honest answer to that since Beth filled out that packing slip. But if it is a redhead let me give you a more secure address. :D |
Rick, I don't think David's wife will let him have access to redheads for shipping.
|
Well then Glen I am going to count on you to send me a redheaded nurse. Good luck by the way and make sure you let some one here know when you come out, so we can pass the word
|
I will have my hand clamped on my cell phone. As soon as I recover I will let y'all know. ;)
Mrs Carrera will be busy keeping the redhead nurses away for me. I am a George Clooney double and get confused with him all the time. It is tough to keep the women at bay. And I have not even started my drugs yet! ;) |
The night before my dad went in for his quad bypass the anesthesiologist came into his room and was explaining the procedure and I could tell dad was getting a little uncomfortable with the situation, so I decided to break the tension. I told the woman it sounded like dad was going to be in a chemically induced hypnotic state, and she said that was very close to the truth. I then proceeded to make the request that after dads surgery that he was to cluck like a chicken anytime he heard the word bulldozer. It was a big laugh and when she left she wrote bulldozer on his chalkboard.
Dad had his surgery the next day and he was in recovery and they had just pulled the breathing tube out when the nurse came out and got my mom and I. We walked into the room and dad was still a good bit out of it but motioned for me to come over to the bed. I leaned over so I could hear what he was trying to say and that old SOB was clucking like a chicken. He went under with that thought and kept it until he could hit me with it. He came home a few days later to find rubber chickens stuffed in his things through out the house. |
Great story Rick. That is great.

Ha ha! Love that story, Rick. We pulled stuff on our oncology patients all the time. Our leukemics stayed there forever after their induction of chemotherapy. One guy said he missed fishing. So one night, we took his regular plate off his dinner tray. We had one of those singing wall "stuffed" fish that sang if somebody walked by that you bought at a drugstore. We put that under his dinner tray cover. He about peed his pants laughing so hard when he took the lid off.
We had great fun in times that migh not have been. We even had a wedding on the unit when one patien wanted to get married to his long time girlfriend before he passed away. I remember I had to give one of my patients a beer every night. It was an actual doctors order. So every night I would walk down the hall with beer in my hand and people always took a second look... |
I need a Dr to prescribe beer!
|
you can get beer prescribed, you know. really.
