I have to say... I am getting my Internet via a prepaid USB cellular stick. This thing rocks! Not as fast as DSL/FIOS, but pretty durn quick. Cheap too. I paid 15 Euro with an included 7 days. We really need to catch up in the US.
My iPad clocks 12mbps on Verizon LTE...

Porsche-poor 09-18-2012 07:34 PM

well, there you go. my spanish is limited to conversational and words specific to making beer and healthcare. i can usually figure it out, however, if it written. not that time.

Get that cat sorted? My 911 has one in a box on the shelf. No emissions test at this point.

Keep that cat safe. It will be needed someday. I suspect the Feds will require each state to do emissions testing fairly soon. Just a guess. My cat is safe in my attic.

Porsche-poor 09-18-2012 08:13 PM

Wa state currently says the car is to old to care. The sad part is all the other emissions equipment is gone.

GH85Carrera 09-18-2012 08:25 PM

Fortunately all my 911 has for emissions is the cat. 6 bolts and two gaskets and it is back on. My El Camino is a different story. With the fuel injection instead of that horrible factory carb it runs 100 times better.

Porsche-poor 09-18-2012 09:25 PM

I hope to never need it.

nynor 09-18-2012 09:39 PM

oh, yeah. its on the car (the cat). damn slow, too. and it doesn't sound as nice. it passed emissions with flying colors.

Last full day. Off to visit the town where my mother and cousin's mother was born.

Morning Y'all. Wow what a night of storms and such

Jim Richards 09-19-2012 03:12 AM

Mornin' Rico!

There were lots of tree limbs strewn about the park I walked the dog in this AM. Glad that weather's outta here.

Rick V 09-19-2012 03:14 AM

Morning Jim
Yeah we had a rather rough go of it yesterday. I wish I had driven Peggy to work

For those who don't know this book it is one of my all time favorites. It was written in 1949. I have a reprinted addition that I bought back in the late 70's that is very well loved, as in held together with mailing tape. Beth found this copy, printed in 1966. If you have never read it you don't know what you are missing. Any book that opens with the line, "If I had cared to live I would have died" is worth a shot, and it is a fun read.
