I can appreciate most sports, games or whatever. I've just never enjoyed American football, but that's just me.
Just too much stop-start for it to be interesting, and I'd rather watch players that can do more than just one thing. I'm not going to poke holes in somehting others love (unless asked to do so :D ) Enjoy the superbowl folks! The enjoyment is what it's all about. |
I like seeing shirtless men with typically busted faces get sweaty and beat the s*#t out of eachother.... Then shake hands when it's all over :)
|
Steamwolf once you get to understand the game and get used to watching it, its good that it stops all the time, gives you a chance to go get a beer, coffee, lunch, pee, you know, wash the car, all that sort of stuff, and still be watching the game/sport/game/sport
:) |

Yes, that's what we always say about cricket. I still can't get into American football though :D |
god.... the blackberry commercial is terrible. and the dude needs a punch in the face. just saying.

Oh I would definitely love Rugby... I have never seen it in tv though. The only reason I know it exists is because my dad played it when I was little.
|
Speaking of things Rugby, decided not to keep up the 5 Brumbies Meninga Grandstand seasons tickets this time whilst we are away. When we went to France we kept them paid up for the three years while we were away, but this time we decided to let them go. Our luck, when we get back, the Brumbies will be playing really well and we wont be able to get any grandstand seat tickets.
They are just getting too expensive to pay out for not even going to any games. |

It's all NRL around here, azza...
I got to see the Knights and Souths fight over the wooden spoon a year or so back. Was a very entertaining game. |
I'm a St George supporter for NRL these days, but don't watch it much after getting into Union, have been seasons ticketholders with Brumbies since they started, gave Raiders away after the end of Clyde, Meninga, Daley and Stuart era, ah those were the days.

and here the ravens melt down. dammit.
