Stijn!!

Mornin' all. Still under the weather, but no sick days on work-cation.

Our dog loves chasing rabbits here in SoCal. The rabbits are happy to report she's really no good at it.

azzarule 03-21-2013 07:43 AM

Morning Jim and Lu, not being well on work-cation is not fair Jim, maybe your 'lergic to SOCAL, or maybe your just 'lergic to work!!

Jim Richards 03-21-2013 08:02 AM

Morning, Azzy. Definately allergic to work! :D

Porsche-poor 03-21-2013 10:34 AM

I am to but the doctor will not write a note for me.

Jim Richards 03-21-2013 10:38 AM

Crappy doc. :(

Well, if what our fireplace contractor says is true (big IF), we going to have a finished fireplace today. That's after we told them to drop the drywall work that still needs to be finished from the statement of work. Only 4.5 months to refinish a fireplace. Nothing exotic. That's about 2 months longer than what our whole kitchen remodel should take. I can't wait to never have anything more to do with that fireplace contractor.

Porsche-poor 03-21-2013 10:50 AM

Sounds typical of any contractor.

Jim Richards 03-21-2013 11:07 AM

We've had some good luck with contractors, too.

Porsche-poor 03-21-2013 11:10 AM

the one bad one will make up for the good ones.

I have to ind one to fix my roof, not going to be fun at all.

Jim Richards 03-21-2013 11:16 AM

Good luck, David!

Porsche-poor 03-21-2013 11:25 AM

Thanks. I'll need it. I will probably be two contractors even worse.

azzarule 03-21-2013 01:43 PM

well what a weird day, cloudy, windy, 35F at 12, with snow flurries, now its sunny but still freezing.

Making Wonton Soup, Janet's dinner the other night inspired me.

Going to school tonight to see a musical, my Midget is not in it, but his GF is. Should be fun, we are in the front row, should be a good chance to check out the GF.

Porsche-poor 03-21-2013 01:51 PM

now be a nice parent.....

Jim Richards 03-21-2013 02:45 PM

Stijn!!

Finally, after 4 1/2 months, the bloody fireplace refacing is done. Well, after negotiating the drywall finishing out of the project.

I am so glad that's astern of us now.

Afternoon Y'all.
Still playing nurse to Beth but she is on the med. I brought her some hot chicken and rice soup from the local Chinese place and she hooved it up.
My drive home was fun, it must have been cross the center line and pull out in front of Rickie day, and I never got the memo. I haven't flipped that many people off in a long time.

Jim Richards 03-21-2013 03:00 PM

I hope Beth is feeling better soon. BTW, do you make soup deliveries to the west coast? I'm still outta action today. :(

Rick V 03-21-2013 03:05 PM

Depends, how warm is it there?
