I've gotten into slot cars. But it takes awhile and time to set up a proper track. So we'll build one and leave it up for a week or so before I pack it away again. The kids are actually pretty good at not destroying the cars.

Janet, so let me get this straight. Your husband surprised you with a car you wanted but yet you aren't fixing it up like you want to in order to spare his hurt feelings and fixing it up the way he wants it, only to sell it or eventually buy one that you want. ???????? This is why I just buy what I want and do what I want. Never going to get married again. EVER.

Andy, so glad to hear of your cancer remission. Lymphoma? I am an oncology nurse.

D, my boys weren't all that impressed with a kite either. We were even flying it on the beach! U loved kites when I was a kid. Who knows. Kids. Go figure.

I'll often do the wiggle finger thing to little kids.....um yep, probably doesn't sound right but you know what I mean. ;)

But No, I'm not waking up yet - It's still before 9am.

Morning Y'all.

Cute couple Andy (re vote) - nice story.

Morning and thanks for the revote and nice comments. I just leaned over to Elicia and pointed out that we have an Australian voting for us. She is excited and keeps watching the number go up.

Stijn!!

Richard, my cousin gave my boys one of those helicopters and it was a lot of fun... Well, it was until they broke it by crashing it into the wall. I think it lasted two weeks.

Btw, Janet, not saying anything about your hubby. Sweet of him to get you your 944. My statements were more a statement of myself. That you are much nicer than me. I tend to piss off men because I am too independent and determined. :)

When I was a 5hit kicker (no rank) member of yesterdays airforce, I threw a heap of paper airplanes from the roof off the ATC tower one day when I was servicing antennas.

The plan was to see how many times I could get a plane to circle the tower. I don't remember it being very many, if any.

The controllers got a good giggle out of it for a while (but their sense of humor was limited).

Wow! I like the chook.

my boys always loved and still do love lego. One for an 6-8 year old should be okay, its all about putting it together with Dad anyway. Great fun sitting on the floor playing with lego, with your dad (or Mum!) :D

@Jeff

the chook took a bit of mastering but they loved it. They saw a huge one the other day, and I had to say......... Ah no!

The little ones only bang into the walls, but the huge one would go through the walls.

RKDinOKC 04-18-2013 06:50 PM

The big ones are park toys.
