Love this. I went in town last night with a buddy to our craft brew pub. I wanted something tasty and didn't know what. I figured going to a place with 60+ craft brews on tap was the only choice. There were a bunch of guys out that thought they had race cars. 2 were dodge neons and another honda civic. I just laugh when they pipe their fart cans off.

No, surprisingly enough, even though we have plenty of RAAF, RAN down here in Pax River, there is no service, and realistically we have not been invited to the Embassy (which is about an hours drive) for anything either, so, us orphans down here are not doing anything. I will be at work on Thursday early, and we will probably have a coffee, and remember.

Heya Azzy, apparently the tradition in Washington is a dawn service (public event) and gunfire breaky (pre-registration) at the Korean Veterans War Memorial.

I live 6-7 blocks from the Oz embassy. Maybe I should wander over there for breaky. I'll just have to watch out for any stray gunfire. ;)

Thanks for the Hump Day pic, Azzy. Glen, what the hell is going on there?

Outback Porsche 04-24-2013 05:22 AM

That's a bit nippley Glen. When is spring supposed to arrive?

That is my white 85 Carrera just left of front and center.

We had a bigger group ;)

Not a lot of people showed up for the fun run. There were a few 914's and a 944 that was scared to come out onto the grass. I guess they were scared of our 911's....lol.

Jim Richards 04-24-2013 05:25 AM

seems logical. ;)

Aboiut to go on track in Charolette at the superspeedway. That is the fastest I have ever driven my car. 5,200+ RMP in 5th gear. That was a FUN day.

Oh My.....time for a shower.

can anyone think of a good reason I shouldn't trade the Jag in on a 996 Cab? The dealer I bought the Jag from is hustling everything Jag at 20% over KBB and everything Porsche at KBB or under by a few grand.......I could walk away just a few grand lighter.......with a 6spd, drop top 911......this is tempting.......fuch everyone and everything else......they can walk

Go for it. The 911 will be more fun. How often do you REALLY need a back seat?

RKDinOKC 04-24-2013 06:18 AM

If it were me...wait a minute...already have a Porsche and NOT a Jag. Have the Rover for the 2 days a year of icey weather or if I need a back seat which is even less often.

Morning, hell David - it's afternoon. Been workign since 11:30 PM your time.

I think we're all starting to get a little loopy. A couple engineers and I started singing the Animaniacs theme a couple minutes ago.
