He went to school here in San Luis Obispo. you are correct on SLO. That abbreviation is everywhere here - the SLO life, etc.

Funniest one is SLO Transit written on the busses. :D

This has so far been a good birthday weekend. I watched some club racing (Porsche club, of course) on Saturday. It was a 4 hour endurance race, but the track isn't the most interesting. I was able to get my a$$ out of bed early enough the past couple days to get my bike ride in on the mountain road before the squids come out. Drove the 911 today, and tomorrow we should be testing the FSAE car.

Janet's posts make me feel old at 23, though. :D

Thanks, Monday is the day, actually. I still have 2 hours left as a 22 year old since I was born on US Pacific time. ;)

Flieger 06-02-2013 10:00 PM

I don't usually do much celebration for my birthday. I usually get a nice book as a gift and go to the Tribute to Le Mans which is always that weekend. It is right around final exam time, too but I don't stress over tests so it makes no difference.

Two years ago my dad was telling everyone at the track about me turning 21. I was just like "whatever". :D:cool:

Morning Y'all
Happy Birthday Max, Sorry it fell on a monday

Flieger 06-03-2013 02:04 AM

Thanks. I am fine with Mondays for the time being. Upper-level engineering classes are fun and actually I finished those already. Just taking fun/easy classes now. I imagine my tone will change when I start a job, depending on what job it is.

Rick V 06-03-2013 02:09 AM

I imagine they will, no matter what job you end up doing. :)

Jferr006 06-03-2013 02:48 AM

My condolences on becoming an engineer ;)

Happy B-day Max. Morning, y'all.

Jferr006 06-03-2013 03:08 AM

Morning, Jim. You're the only engineer I like. I'm so glad I figured out freshman year that I didn't not want to be an engineer.

Jim Richards 06-03-2013 03:14 AM

I was too slow. It wasn't until I had my MSEE and a few years on the job before I wised up.

Jferr006 06-03-2013 03:25 AM

The only thing I regret now is I still have to work with them. Not actually being one, priceless.

Yep...you will never get any time off/rest...because you will always have a job...if you want one.

Jim Richards 06-03-2013 03:34 AM

True. Especially about the time off/rest.

Jim Richards 06-03-2013 03:35 AM

Gotta run. Prep for w***.
