Why I never got married...not been in a relationship that I felt she would stay committed. That and no kiddos to press the matter.

One of my brothers got married in HS with a kid on the way. She even told my mom her plans to marry him at all cost before she got pregnant. They are still married. 3 kids and now 20 grandkids.

Another brother got married 4 times, each time with less fanfare. The last one was just a trip to the courthouse, didn't even tell anyone till after.

I'm getting anxious to go to SoCal. There's still a lot to do on the house and I'm really looking forward to scratching things off of my punch list.

Weather there looks like it'll be great. Highs in the 70's, lows in the 60's. Less than 48 hours before we're on our way.

I love pain killers when I am in pain. I don't like pain at all. Nope, not a bit. Pain, it is bad, mmmmkay.

I don't want to be in DC for the 4th (thankfully, I'm not) because the farkin knobheads here in the city pull the same all-nighter BS with their fireworks. If it isn't them shooting fireworks off, it's the emergency vehicles rushing to the site(s) where the knobheads blew off their hands or got a roman candle to the eye socket. Thank goodness for Darwin!

and now the other reason not wanting a phone tied to work. the boss just scheduled a 9 am conf call on 7/4. by 10am I'll be on the water front setting up the kids band. phone no ring........

It will not be work related.

When I came in this morning it was the sounds of spring inside. No bats in the belfry but we have birds in the attic. Dang sparrows. They managed to make a nest in an outside wall where the AC line come through for the back AC zone. Babies hatched and are flying. We managed to capture one of them when he was in stealth mode trying to hide. We set him free outside. One of them has fallen down into a wall. He is gonna get stinky soon. We may have to cut a big hole in the wall to get his body out. There may be one more up there.

The hole in the wall is plugged.

Yes he is. Big project to be done but hey I'm married with two kids he is not. I have a life he does not.
