Watching the news and they did a story about the data recorder in the airbag module and how the police and insurance companies use this information against the driver.
I used to love being at the dealership when the police or insurance guys would come in and ask us to retrieve the information for them. My standard question was, "Ya got a warrant?". Sine the answer was always no, that was my answer as well. |

This thread is just pure awesomeness
So, I picked up my car from the dealership after they charged me 5 hours of labor to replace a 'bad' part with another 'bad' part and claim they have to replace it again Looking around, trying to do the diagnosis the jag proprietary manual states should be done and I find this....http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps8fb8ed2b.jpg thats a sub frame securing bolt....I know they did this because the job entails lowering the rear subframe..... II'm afraid to drive the damn thing.... |

Seahawk was saying maybe he should get a Jack Russell for the snake problem... How is the job hunting going Rick? Sorry to hear that you got laid off, sucks big time, good jobs are not easy to find, hope one comes up soon. |
It has taken me about 2 hours to catch up on thread business for the last two weeks, had too much fun to bother even turning on the computer, was afraid I might look up work sh**!
If I don't turn it on I wont see it! |
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was great,
Loved Niagara Falls, but not the tacky parts of it, the falls themselves were superb, our hotel was as close as, and the views from the 36th floor were beautiful. ot day Hershey Park was a blast, and had a great time scaring myself to death, but the water park was fantastic on a hot day, spent all day on the water slides and the lazy river. |
And it looks like, best case.....that misaligned bolt has warped the trunk pan...
Which, given the cost and extensive labor to replace would make the vehicle a total loss |
poop Joe, if only they could do something right!

Tried to go eat tonight at the soon to close Steak and Catfish Barn. Good Luck. There were twice as many cars there as their ample parking lot would hold and a line out the door. Didn't want to park my Porsche on the side of the 2 lane country road two blocks away to eat diner. Ended up going to a place called Delta Cafe close to home that has some pretty good home cooking and the catfish is pretty good there too.

Good night folks.

Morning Y'all
Thanks Richard, now at 6am I want catfish, I will have that for dinner tonight |
Morning Rick. It's nice to see posts from Azzy...her vacation sounds like it's been a lot of fun.
Joe must be going through hell with that Jag dealer. That's more than enough to sour me on the brand forever. |
Morning Jim, take it from someone who has turned a lot of wrenches n a lot of Jags, you don't want one. Not unless it is an old one and you don't mind tinkering
|
It looks like a wet weekend for us. I don't think I'm doing much outside anyway.
I'm still looking for an old E30 coupe. I've been swapping emails with a guy about 8 hours drive from here. I'm not sure I want to close a deal on it. It's an '87 with a BMP body kit, which replaces the stock big bumpers. Looks OK, but I'm not sure I want to park it on the street. If some idiot bangs into it, it's going to suck if the fiberglass is beyond repair. That particular kit doesn't seem to be available any longer. |
Jim did you ever talk to Clarke?
|
Yes. There wasn't a good match with what I wanted and the cars he knew that were available.
|
Cool. I'll call Johny today and make sure he is still looking
|
Thanks Rick!
|
I wish I still had mine, I would more or less give it to you. I more or less gave it away since I had too many cars at the time. It was older than what you are looking for but was a solid car.
