Complain to the organizers about using subpar vinyl....

Mom can make a sticker too if you decide to go that route...

slodave 04-17-2011 10:20 PM

I'm getting pretty good at spraying lacquer...

porsche4life 04-17-2011 10:22 PM

Or he could go see Kevin....

slodave 04-17-2011 10:26 PM

BTW, next time, use a hairdryer to warm the sticker, then gently peel back. ;)

Noah930 04-17-2011 11:10 PM

Funny you mention Kevin as he was at my side as I was peeling (slowly). I used the sun. It was hot. As in we were working on my sticking sunroof and any screwdriver/socket left unattended in direct sunlight became blazing hot within 5 minutes. What we thought was leftover adhesive residue actually turned out to be the clear that pulled off. ('Cause it didn't clean up with the Goof Off I used once I got home.)

I'm hoping the hood can just be resprayed. Either that or maybe it'll buff right out.

porsche4life 04-17-2011 11:12 PM

Not to burst your bubble doc... But the clear is gone... Only fix is new clear... ;)

Noah930 04-17-2011 11:14 PM

Yeah, that last sentence was meant in green.

Mebbe Dave can try his hand at shooting some lacquer...I mean clear on the hood. We'll just pick a day when it isn't too windy.

That's meant in green, too, BTW.

slodave 04-17-2011 11:15 PM

I could add a sunburst effect!

porsche4life 04-17-2011 11:15 PM

I was about to say!!!

Kevin does good work from what I hear, see if you can guilt trip him into a good deal.. ;)

Make it a heart, and the kids'll sign you up immediately!

Actually, you should get a load of a gorgeous white RSR-look car that he's got in the shop right now. Owner's GF tossed a can of aircraft paint stripper on it in a fit of rage. Wow, that stuff works well.

porsche4life 04-17-2011 11:24 PM

Local farm equip dealers wife found out about his GF and totalled ihs Harley, and Corvette in a fit of rage...

Don't piss off a woman with the keys to where your toys are stored.

slodave 04-17-2011 11:28 PM

Peeing on a car will do the same thing.

Geronimo '74 04-17-2011 11:48 PM

Morning guys,

rough start of the day, spilled my first cup of coffee....
Computer was slow, did a virusscan, found 19 (!) virusses.... Why the F does this fuh-king virusscanner only detect these motherfuh-kers when I do a manual scan???
Isn't it supposed to get them when they are installed or downloaded or something???
Now even after the scan, I do not trust it, might as well have new ones....

Geronimo '74 04-18-2011 12:50 AM

New arrival.... :)

slodave 04-18-2011 01:00 AM

I'll be glad to break it in for you.... I don't think you'll need it for a while.

Geronimo '74 04-18-2011 01:21 AM

If you think I'm sending it back to the States, you've got another think coming.
It already crossed the pond TWICE....
You're more than welcome to come to Belgium and race the snot out of it.. ;)

slodave 04-18-2011 01:22 AM

How? Your 911 is in pieces....

Rick V 04-18-2011 01:25 AM

I thought you wanted a senior citizen alarm clock.... :)

(the muffler takes too much space in my luggage)

Rick V 04-18-2011 01:35 AM

I was thinking of the muffler for Dave. I am happy with the current setup on my 911's.

I'll never have mine ready in time for you to drive....
If you send me much money so I can buy all the stuff I need, I might have a shot... :)

GH85Carrera 04-18-2011 05:32 AM

Good morning guys.

G-man what anti-virus program do you use? It must be a cheap POS to let viruses even download much less install.

Geronimo '74 04-18-2011 05:36 AM

morning Glen

McAffee, on my laptop from work. 18 trojan horses and one worm.....

GH85Carrera 04-18-2011 05:43 AM

It was a strange weekend for me. We went to a memorial service for my wife's cousin. They were like sisters, so it has been a little somber around the house. We had 16 relatives meet up at our house. They came in from several states. We fed them lunch and they had time to change clothes before and after the service. They did not eat enough so we have several pounds of leftover BBQ brisket & turkey.

They all had excellent taste, they all loved my 911.

Sunday morning when I got up the pump for our Koi pond was dead.

All the pond places are closed on Sunday. So today I will get another pump.

GH85Carrera 04-18-2011 05:48 AM

We used to use McAfee. I never did like the interface. We changed to Norton 360 3 years ago. It seems to do an excellent job. When I went to Elephant Racing's web site once it had been infected with the virus that pops us and looks like a Microsoft warning that you need to do a virus scan. Norton stopped it dead in it's tracks.

Geronimo '74 04-18-2011 06:17 AM

I get that pop up all the time when I google for pics.
Well not all the time, but often. It performs a socalled scan in my browserwindow. Of course it finds stuff....

Geronimo '74 04-18-2011 06:18 AM

I have Norton on my home laptop, I think but i almost never use that one...

porsche4life 04-18-2011 06:52 AM

Norton sucks..

Use AVG

porsche4life 04-18-2011 06:53 AM

Oh ya. And get a Mac!

Whay do you think that?
We have AVG on one old box that runs Windows 2000. It is OK but it does not have any of the other features Norton has.
We like Norton because it works. We have not had ANY virus problems with Norton. It also does a backup of the important files on-line and other useful utilities.

We don't use Macs because there is no real mapping software that runs on a Mac. We have to use real professional computers. If we did web design, desktop publishing or graphic design we would have a Mac.

Porsche-poor 04-18-2011 07:51 AM

Morning guys. Our office uses Vipre and I use Trend at home. Both seem to be ok.

GH85Carrera 04-18-2011 08:07 AM

One of the biggest reason we like Norton is we can buy a 15 seat license. We have 15 computers running it without issues. With just three employees 17 computers and 19 Terabytes of RAID 5 storage we have almost enough. Of course the pilot is flying most of the time and he mostly uses one of the laptops.
