We just left the RV show and have a pretty good idea of what we like / don't like. Since we still have a while before we retire, we'll need to do a few short trips with a rental RV to see if we really like living in a glorified van.

I was going through some old photos and found the bus we toured the south island of nu-zealund in a few years ago (just like yesterday ). It was a fun toy for a couple of weeks.

Looks like fun, Jeff. This is what checks off all the boxes for us right now. We'll see if it still looks good to us when we're ready to retire.

That looks pretty tidy Jim. One thing I'd recommend is to buy bigger than you'll think you'll need. That thing we had was huge, was set up for sleeping 7 adults, and by the end of two weeks the then teenage daughter was making it a small place for us all to be. ;)

Morning Andy.

I was digging through some old photos and came across this. It was my then brand new 1973 Super Bug. I paid $2,600 for it new. I drove it for one year and paid it off. Then I traded it in for my 1974 914 2.0. I got $2,200 on the trade in.

I wanted a white car but they did not have white on bugs back then. The beige was as close as I could get  I knew I was not going to own it for long.

I wanted Gulf Blue for my 914 but that was not an option for 914s. I had to settle for Olympia blue which is close.

I'd like to add a nice super B or 914 to my collection.

Sid, the shop that built the "Dung Beetle" is just a couple of miles from my shop.

Morning all. A good nights sleep does not make Monday any better.

Well it does not hurt! :p

Porsche-poor 01-13-2014 08:51 AM

true. Sleeping doesn't pay the bills either.

GH85Carrera 01-13-2014 10:24 AM

Hey David I hear it was kinda windy up in your part of the world.

Jim Richards 01-13-2014 10:26 AM

Lot of sag there. I don't think I'd like to see that when she's transitioning from cougar to jaguar and beyond.

Outback Porsche 01-13-2014 12:02 PM

I'd still look ;)

Just a tad. I had lots of traction on the way to work today aka tree limbs on the road.

The units appear serviceable to me.... :)

Well, the damn disco is finally good to go.....it only took a new radiator, coolant expansion tank and cap and a handful of hoses mixed with $600 flying out of my wallet and a pint of blood...

Jim Richards 01-13-2014 01:25 PM

I can see someday, a PPOT thread started by Joe "I need a new car, and I don't think I will be buying British." :D
