The local grocery stores get busy like the day before Thanksgiving right before a big storm. All I can figure is the snow gives folks the urge to eat French Toast and they all have lots of eggs at home. The French toast must give them diarrhea.

For over 20 years at one of my former jobs the boss would buy fried chicken for the employees if the weather was bad. Instead of everyone going to lunch he would go pick it up and we ate at work. It got to be like Pavlov's dogs. If it snowed we all walked around saying it smells like fried chicken. To this day when it snows I get the urge to get some fried chicken.

ever have a day where you can't finish one thing before another project crops up? I hate winter cold and flu season. to many people sick here and staying home and I have to be the healthy one....

So you are complaining about NOT being sick? :eek:

At one of my former jobs I had to put a white board on the wall. I would list the all the projects I had in my in box. I let the owner of the company list the order he wanted me to finish them. If he had no input I did them in the order they came in.

I often had a one week backlog to even look at a work order.

yep if I was sick I'd be home not doing everyone else's work.

Well I got Beth all dug out, although her car isn't going out tomorrow, round two has been going for a few hours. My son and I just got back from town. We went in to dig out my mother in law. The country roads are decent, in town hasn't seen a plow yet, it is miserable. Gotta love driving amongst the idiots trying to go to the mall with cars that don't have the ground clearance or driver skills. Screw this.

in Oz we call those sorts of people, Wankers.

I didn't even have to bother with them, My son is a master at insulting people and has my attitude about voicing his opinion. I just drove Peggy, he handled the salutations.

Ok we had some 60 degree weather today I am shipping off to the Northeast. It should be there in a few weeks, maybe sooner.
