Our house has some cool custom features for electricity. All three bedrooms have a wall switch in the middle of the wall in the logical place to put a bed. It controls the lamp connection. I can kiss my wife goodnight and reach up over the headboard and turn the light off without getting out of bed. There are electrical outlets every 20 feet on the soffits around the house. Every room has a ceiling fan and there are two ceiling fans on the back porch. We have 8 ceiling fans in the house and I have 3 more in my garage.

When I installed the security system I drug four CAT 5 cables up into the attic. Right now only 2 are used for the security cameras. I could always put a switch in the attic and have a full compliment of cameras.

When we re-did the bathrooms back in 2006 we installed electric floor heat. It is wonderful when it works. The guest bathroom has been flawless but the master bathroom system has a open circuit.

I just spent time with the technical support folks and I will have to rent some equipment to find the break, rip out some tile and fix the break and then re-tile that area. Fortunately we have some spare tiles and the colored grout. The equipment to find the break will cost me $430 just to rent for 5 days.

Decided to give those 'Remora' spoon holders a try....they've got a sale going on. Pretty impressive, it holds my USP without a problem in fairly loose track pants!

...Any S*** up there in VA yet? I see Maine and Chicago got dumped on.
Not where I am...but maybe in the mountains. Friends in NC mountains got hit pretty hard.

Got our first hard frost this morning.

We are scheduled for some liquid precipitation tonight. It will be nice if we get the 1 or more inches they predict. It just flows down into the gutter and does not require shoveling.

Evening Y'all,
Well we are having our chimney cleaned as I type, think Imma gonna have a nice fire this weekend

GH85Carrera 11-03-2014 04:14 PM

And get yer chimney all sooty and dirty all over?

Rick V 11-03-2014 04:55 PM

All cleaned and ready for use. Those guys came down from Maryland. 3.5 hours drive, damn

flipper35 11-03-2014 05:07 PM

I had to drop a box in the kitchen through the attic when we swapped the light fixture for a ceiling fan. That was when it was hot out. I think Rick might have been the only one that would like the temps in the attic, though not the blown in insulation.

Joe how, exactly, do they work with sweats? Doesn't drag them down?

Rick V 11-03-2014 05:09 PM

I have rock wool insulation in the attic in the main part of the house. I itch just thinking about that hateful crap

If you have some of the old coloured grout Glen you had better not use it, grout powder doesn't last it goes off after about a year, doesn't set properly and just goes back to powder, ask me how I know :mad::mad:

Was not a happy tiler at all when I had to redo quite a few tiles I had replaced because they had cracked because of the floor under heating, when we had the house remodelled a few years back.

Did you use a rubber based adhesive and grout to allow for expansion when heated?
