Thats about what I get out of the batteries in my truck. I bought mine from Vicious Tek and they have been great for the money. Store them in an ammo can.

Check out the videos on Flite Test those guys have tons of fun with planes made from cheap foam.

Foam planes have been around since the mid 2000's in popularity and ease of building them. Most of the guys in my club would bring a new design every weekend to test.

Not true on the LiPos. They do just fine when off charger for long periods (like a year).

porsche4life 02-01-2015 10:58 PM

Yes they will. But they have to be at the correct voltage for storage.

Oh man do I really have to go back to work?

slodave 02-02-2015 02:17 AM

No.. But it's your choice.

RKDinOKC 02-02-2015 02:18 AM

That's what I meant, you can't run em down then leave them. Got to recharge them first. Storing isn't when the explode or catch fire, it's when you are charging them too fast. Have a few heli batteries I tossed because they started getting a little puffy.

Flown foam planes, they are okay. It's convenient getting a Almost Ready to Fly or a Ready To Fly.

Talked some time with the local hobby shop guy. He keeps only a few of only the newest ARFs in stock. Says people keep buying the newest ones just because they are something new to try. They don't seem to last very long. When I ask about kits says orders them for most his customers so he doesn't get stuck with inventory. Just tell him what you want and pick it up in a couple of days with all the extra stuff to go with it.

He had a couple kit built planes for sale. Asked if anyone was building for people like there used to be. Said not really. Too much time involved, but he has flown a couple of planes I built and said they would sell like crazy once people found out how good they flew. Seems it's the Walmart mentality, people are so used to cheap crap they just don't know any better.

Well, going to have to take the dog to vet/emergency. She hasn't been able to move her back legs for about 24 hours now. Tried giving her more of the arthritis medication and pain killers, but not doing anything for her. When I try to help and lift her rear end she acts like she is going to bite me so it must hurt.

My problem is I can't lift a 110 lb sack of dog to carry and get her into the car by myself. And there is no vet ambulance service in OKC.

Hehehehehehehehe (giggling like a school girl) :D

Good Monday morning folks.

Jeff, as you well know there is nothing funnier than passing gas.

I was happy to be able to help load her. She is like a sack of potatoes. I hope the vet can find a easy solution to help her out.

Back from 45 minutes of power-slides, drifting and donuts in the Highlander after dropping the wife off at work :)

RKDinOKC 02-02-2015 06:54 AM

Well, Camber is no longer with us. Dog gone. Found an inoperable tumor causing her to loose what they called deep pain response. She was unable to move her legs or tail and her bladder and butt were stuck closed. It looked and acted a lot like arthritis for the past year, but got progressively worse until she couldn't walk or even wag her tail.
.

RKDinOKC 02-02-2015 07:08 AM

Sounds like the fun part of s***

911SauCy 02-02-2015 07:54 AM

Sorry to hear about the dog.

RKDinOKC 02-02-2015 08:00 AM

Camber the talking dog will be missed. We enjoyed 13 years of her companionship.

Thanks, Glen for helping.

Jim Richards 02-02-2015 08:05 AM

Sorry about your loss of Camber, Richard. Thirteen years of companionship...I'm sure she'll be sorely missed.

GH85Carrera 02-02-2015 08:10 AM

Dang, Richard. Sorry about Camber. That sucks.

RKDinOKC 02-02-2015 08:28 AM

If there were any 7 week old female AKC Golden Retriever puppies available in the area today, I would go get one and name her Pepper.

HHI944 02-02-2015 08:39 AM

Dammit Richard, sorry about your pup.

RKDinOKC 02-02-2015 09:37 AM

Pepper is the nickname for a Cayenne. That would be a good dog name.
