Wayne, those covers are simply not available. They do show up on Ebay every once in a while as new old stock. The good news is they made millions of cars that use the same part. The local junk yards list over 30 of them. I will go pick up an entire wiper motor and cover for $35 bucks and have a spare.

I posted a followup on my thread about looking for the part. I bet someone is in the midst of getting the proper legal rights to make them again and they will be back on the market someday soon.

I ran the kids to school as you were typing in the other thread. No matter, sounds like it may be resolved.

I spent some of today locking in 4 blokes for the epic 2015 Alice to Perisher ski trip.

In 12 weeks, it's our version of Hot Tub Time Machine. :D

Allergies are so bad that they've been a complete distraction from me doing work yesterday and today.

I having such a difficult time focusing, never mind focus on outbound cold sales calls....

I have Friday off. Time to submit some resumes. Get some pics of the 911 to get it posted and get a few other things cleaned out of the garage to make some room.

that does not sound good. did I miss something?

flipper35 05-05-2015 10:27 AM

No, I just don't have the time to work on the 911 and we have a bunch of stuff we don't use so it might as well go on CL.

As for the job, it has been coming for a while. When management would rather you give the impression of doing something rather than spend the time doing it either because of a power trip or because they are IQ challenged it makes for a difficult work environment. I have been doing this for over 25 years, I think I can find a place that is less corporate. The best job I had only had two things I didn't like. It was in the wrong state and they couldn't make payroll and I had a family to think of.

Porsche-poor 05-05-2015 10:50 AM

ahh. well good luck. after years of working here I think I'm stuck. 20 years of "jack of all trades master of none" and all the jobs I have been looking at on the local front all want one thing. lots of experience in one type of drafting only.

GH85Carrera 05-05-2015 11:01 AM

I left my first job after my payroll check bounced once. After it bounced I would drive right to his bank and cash the check and then go deposit it at my bank.

That and when I asked him to have at least 12,000 per year as a salary he said no. I moved to Oklahoma City and started a new job at 12K. I am up to over 18K now! :p

I worked there for 27 years before the digital camera changed the photography world forever.

Fortunately I have a pretty wide range of skills from coding to network architecture to AD/Exchange and so forth. I enjoy coding and worked with assembly before I had a drivers license but I don't like the long drawn out projects. There are some jobs out there that are smaller businesses that would still pay well. There is also a bank and hospital that would work out. I am a HIPPA officer so I have that going for me if the hospital thing looks like a job I would like. I have also been taking courses in IT Security plus the bank sends you to classes specifically on banking. We will see how it goes. I have a meeting with my boss on Wednesday. She is young but she is not the problem person here and has a grasp of how things work. Those people work in a different department. Sorry for the rant.

Has anyone seen the new Avengers movie? We might see it Friday afternoon.

flipper35 05-05-2015 11:58 AM

Just found out a friend of mine that helped the local home-school group with the STEM Competition won this year. His son was one of the group and I know two of the others in the group.

It sounds like to are just too smart for the American Workplace.

I was told I was too good at too many things and that it's not what I say or how I say it, but I make people feel stupid.

The missus and I saw it on Monday evening. Very entertaining, lots of action and full of one liners. It's unusual (but good) to laugh so much during a sci-fi.

RKDinOKC 05-05-2015 02:17 PM

Maybe Marvel is getting everyone ready for Deadpool, That's about all he speaks in is one liners.

flipper35 05-05-2015 02:22 PM

We liked the first movie. Even the littler one.

I am not big on night clubs but anything in Somalia is right below my list of places to go under Syria and ISIS headquarters.
