My electric bill is averaged and the same for 12 months of the year. Every 12 months they change the price a little depending on my usage. It is automatically drafted from my account. For some reason I love getting the paper copy of the bill in the mail with a big DO NOT PAY THIS BILL on the total due line. I guess I remember all to well the bad old days when I wondered how I was going to pay the bills every month. I don't miss that at all. |
Well, if it didn't take hours to change the temp a couple of degrees I would think it would work. Just this morning for fun I raised the thermostat 1°F. It took over an hour for the temp to raise that 1°F and the cooling come on. Set it back to where it was 1°F lower and again it took an hour before reaching the correct temp and shutting off.
My thermostat keeps track of how long the inside fan runs for filter changing and to maintain the current temp it is less than 30 minutes an hour. For a 1 degree change it is running the system longer than if I just left it at the same temp. When I replaced the A/c unit I got 2.5 tons instead of 2 so I could cool my garage if I wanted. Don't know why it takes so long to cool the house down. |
We don't mess with the thermostat unless it is to turn it off when the weather is nice enough to open the windows. That is great when it gets really cool in the evenings and not too bad in the daytime. I love sleeping when it is cold.

Ya-no, it is a pleasure to deal with an intelligent competent customers. To have a customer send me a shapefile of the exact location they are needing makes it so easy. No guesswork or questions on my end. I wish we had more like him. :D

Send some up this way.
Back in the college days a friend worked at McDonalds to pay for school and the lady at the drive-thru wanted a hamburger with cheese. She did not want a cheeseburger, they were $0.10 more, she just wanted a hamburger with cheese for the hamburger price. |
I thought if you add a slice of cheese to any burger at McD's it cost $0.10. for the additional slice of cheese.

I renewed a russian domain today and got 6 confirmation/invoice/receipt emails from the international domain registry. FYI a .ru domain is $110 per year where a normal .com is only $10 with the same registry.

By the way, crunchy Cheetos are not a good topping for ice cream.

I wouldn't have had to test that to tell you it's a bad idea!

I like to put the baked Cheetos in some chicken broth while it's heating, season with some black pepper and some cayenne pepper. I call it poor man's tortilla soup.
Also can use the crunchy ones with chicken in a stir fry with some green chilis, onions, etc. top with some sour cream and call it chicken enchilada stir fry. Cheetos are basically cheesy flavored corn meal. So you can use them instead of corn tortillas and cheese in mexican dishes. The baked ones usuall melt into the sauce and the chruchy ones kinda half melt and little crunchy bits. |
Just got back from going to see my doc for a checkup. Was in his office within 2 minutes of walking in the door. Nurse took my vitals and he came in within a minute of her finishing. Total time tp see him was 15 minutes. Problem is he is across Edmond from were I live and it takes over 30 minutes to get there and another 30 to 45 to get back home. And because of all the idiots and morons out driving around real slow, talking on the phone and going to sleep at the stop lights my blood pressure is always just a bit high when I get there.

My sister likes to put a saltine on hers. Sometimes crushed peanuts adds to the sweetness. People put cheese on apple pie ala-mode so...
|
Richard, few things are cheaper than tortillas. I bet Cheetoes cost way more ounce to ounce.
I can't even remember the last time I bought and ate Cheetoes. It has been before Sid was born. |
I like saltines and chocolate. About lost it on Southpark when Chef was selling his Chocolate Salty Balls...

The saltines do make the ice cream taste a little sweeter. I don't care for chocolate much but I imagine it s the same. The salt enhances the flavor of it.
We had some Miracle Berry tablets around Christmas time. They make some things taste really good and others, well, not so much. |
Man, you gotta turn your fingers orange once in a while eatin cheetos.
|
When I was a kid there used to be some stuff called bottle caps or fizzies or something like that. They were like alkaseltzer tablets. You put them in water and they turned it into carbonated drinks, the root beer was my favorite.
