You can always go the Richard look. Don't trim the beard and fit in with duck dynasty or ZZ Top. It is a distinct "look."

Yes. The key remembers your driving preferences. So I could get in and it goes to the sport mode, with the seats, steering wheel and mirrors adjusted to my settings. When the the wife drives it knows her preferences.

The outside rear view mirrors are heated, just like my 31 year old 911. And it has headlight washers, just like my 911, only they pop up and are hidden most of the time.

The mirrors will fold back against the car with a button push or we can set them to do that automatically. No need to with our large garage so we will likely just leave them in position.

I want one!!!!!!!

RKDinOKC 03-09-2017 08:12 AM

My old Cayenne remembers a bunch of stuff tied to the key. But I have to pick sport mode, and turn a knob for the mirrors to fold in and back out. It has the hill holding, but the motor does stay running unless I turn it off. And it only has 6 forward gears.

The garage is looking better.

The fact that my El Camino and the 911 are white with a Burgundy interior is pure coincidence.

The Macan is the radical one with the Agate grey and tan interior. I will get some better photos when we have a nice weekend. It is supposed to rain on Saturday. Likely just enough rain to mess up a clean car.

Porsche-poor 03-09-2017 08:53 AM

sweet looking ride.

RKDinOKC 03-09-2017 09:03 AM

Jealous of that big garage!

Porsche-poor 03-09-2017 09:07 AM

that to. I have a 3 car but the 911 is buried in crap now.

Jim Richards 03-09-2017 09:14 AM

I'm also jealous of the 3-car garage. I have a smallish 2-car garage with a lot of stuff in it. At least I can squeeze two cars into it for the moment.

flipper35 03-09-2017 09:17 AM

Ours is only a 2 car garage. But we have two of those I guess.

The Cobra has seats and a windshield. Actually, the drivers seat has power adjustable lumbar and side bolsters but no one ever uses it. I could save 50 pounds taking the motors out. I guess it does have electronic ignition.

One thing it has over modern cars is visibility. I can see great out of that thing.

Glen, I was very surprised you bought a white one. I mean really, who would have guessed that? :)

GH85Carrera 03-09-2017 09:49 AM

Yea, I LOVE my garage. I can throw open the GIANT doors on the El Camino and not hit anything at all. That and the lift, and the bathroom, and the heater and the AC and the beer fridge and the tool box and....

Too big now that the truck is gone. Well....maybe there's no such thing as too big.

that works for me. truck gone lots of room to work.

flipper35 03-09-2017 02:32 PM

The only time it could be too big is when you have to heat it in sub-zero temps.

Wifey already told me THAT is NOT going to happen. Something about shaving it while I'm sleeping?

Man, who parked the Macan all crookedy?

RKDinOKC 03-09-2017 02:59 PM

I'd be happy just to be able to open the doors on my two cars in the two car garage. Seems absolutely stupid to build a garage so narrow you have to climb out the windows, or pull the car out of the garage so passengers can get in or out. Builders should have to pay for making garages so skinny. Thinking both physically and fiscally.

And while I am on a rant. My driveway is barely wide enough to park two cars on pavement and be able to open the doors between them. It's only as wide as the garage door opening. Get out of the cars on the outsides and you have to walk on the grass/mud/snow. I know I'm not the only one that notices. I see neighbors that stagger their cars in their drive so they can get in and out. More builders being cheap.

Things like that show just how stupid the human race really is. Boobwasie no longer needs to refer to just a stupid political group.
