The hotel, like all hotels, has a coffee maker in the room. The bad news is the "are proud to serve Charbucks burned nasty coffee" and that is all the have. I remembered that from last time, and I brought individual coffee packs of Folgers. I had to sacrifice one of the Charbucks packs to get the little plastic tray, but mmmmmm, Folgers in my cup.

Morning all. That video converted works great. I made it thru 4 tapes this weekend. The next ones I'll have to fond some time to babysit cause they are full at 2 hours long and I do not want to know the file size when done.

A 2 hour MP2 at HD resolution is 4 GB or so. Your files will not be HD so much smaller. Still a big file.

I went to the Concierge desk to ask a question, and the strong smell of chocolate was in the air. The hotel chocolate store was cooking more goodies. I texted my wife to come down there. She led me right back to the chocolate overload. She picked out some truffles of various types.

Chocolate fix fixed, husband gets to live another few days.

Not much planting this time of year. Shovel time is mostly over for the year. I guess in the fall we will be digging up some stuff.

We went to dinner with another couple. We took the shuttle and we were dropped off in front of the restaurant. The other couple have a 2012 Panamara. They dropped us off at the hotel. Lots better than a shuttle.

The Panamera is a damn nice car to ride in.


We are leaving tomorrow for OK. I hope Glen didn’t turn the heat up too much before he left! 🤣🤣🤣

Yea especially a new one. The back seats had a tone of leg room, and a display screen with sat radio, news and climate control for the rear. Very nice.

This is from 50 feet past the main entrance of the hotel. The trees hide most of the hotel from the entrance and it is huge.

We did the German food drive today. Nice roads, and great good.

Off to Churchill Downs for a tour.

We took a bunch of back roads, fun curves. We stopped at a church for pee stop and to load up on a bus.

We just loaded on the bus for the drive into town. First is the restaurant, then the track.

Neat tour. No horses on the menu. No racing right now, they are rebuilding the grass track.

Whew, long day.

We got up early enough to shower, eat breakfast and get to a parking lot by 7:30 and then get ready to leave at 8:00 We toured the Dallara factory. The make ALL of the Indy cars there. and send them to customers for them to install the engines and shocks of their choice. That is all a customer can change.

They also make all the F2 chassis, as well as the F3 and the HAAS F1 car, but they don't much brag about that one. They make the ALMS cars, and the Le Mans cars for clients as well.

That factory is just a mile and a half from the Indy track. We then hit the Indy museum and had a tour. The Ferrari cup race was practice today and they race this weekend. It sounded like angry bees on track.

We did not get back to the hotel until 4:30
