Good evening guys.

Evening guys.... Found out today that I have to work the first half of spring break..... Dammit!

I spent a good while tonight having some of the most automotive fun I've ever had in a '11 Cayenne S.

I'm not a professional test driver but I do consider myself a professional s***-stirrer, and I put that thing through it's paces. Everything from LA traffic hell to parking lot maneuvering to jumping curbs and doing donuts in the mud & 0-120-0 tests.

Such a phenomenal vehicle, seriously. I mean I had high expectations but this thing really is the best SUV you can buy and potential better than a few high end sedans.

Woo hoo. Then bring on that free piece of Leipzig test track Armco I put in for 6 months ago when they were launching the new Cayenne.

Got that out of my system for a while by going to a 928 gathering in early Nov. The tour rule of thumb was to take corners at twice the posted recommendation (those yellow signs just before the corner). The only one of 50 that got a ticket was the guy that refused to drive with the group because he did not speed. Cop gave him a ticket for the speed he clocked the RV passing him. The 996 Turbo I was right behind claimed we hit 165 even though my speedo didn't go over 150. Me thinks his speedo was a bit ambitious. I know my 01 Boxster S speedo was high by 3mph at 40 and got more and more optimistic the faster I drove.

The same group is planning a weekend trip to the Texas Mile in March. Sounds like fun.
