BFR in a single place?

Can you take your Sport Pilot BFR in a single place? I remember reading somewhere that the CFI can observe from the ground as you perform certain maneuvers.

A Sport Pilot Biennial Flight Review must be conducted in a two-place and must be at mininimum of 1 hour of dual (FAR 61.56). Same as any other private or commercial pilot. Now an instructor can endorse solo priviledges for a single seater but the endorsement will only be good for that make and model.

Have you looked into the WINGS program? Completion of enough training units in that program will substitute for a BFR also.

Are you downgrading to sport pilot?

I have been for the past few years ever since my 3rd class medical started to become a hassle because of my kidney stones, and I am down to only one plane too.
