the Yakima also has the additional cross bars that you can mount accessories on. They are not shown in that pic. The Yakima allows for a flat wide thing to be slid into the basket from the rear, I used to carry a small ladder there. I had the middle extension that made the basket quite long. Subaru and Yakima are partnered so makes sense the Subie stuff would look like Yakima.

looks like the thule is scarce, and more costly...so the nod may go to yakima. FYI, the subaru roof basket looks like it is sourced from yakima.
